pick#Read2025 I‘ve been under the impression that Katherine Center is a writer of rom-coms. Of course, I‘ve only read one other book by her and, while it was promoted as a rom-com, it still touched on some very serious topics. This book is not a rom-com. It begins with some sad things, some sad things happen in the middle, and the ending leaves questions about what will happen next. It ends on a hopeful note and I enjoyed this book. Recommended.

wanderinglynn Agree. Of the books I read of hers, I would not call them rom-coms. Contemporary fiction romance, yes because the 3 I read dealt with rather heavy topics. (edited) 2mo
CatLass007 @TEArificbooks Oh. I didn‘t know there was a movie. @wanderinglynn Ordinarily I don‘t read books that are labeled strictly as romance or rom-com. But when I read the summary of Hello Stranger it sounded so intriguing. And it was. It was interesting, sweet, intelligent, and yes, romantic. I definitely would read other books she‘s written. The Lost Husband is currently free on Audible. Free is always an excellent incentive. (edited) 2mo
