The Lake Isle of Innisfree
BY WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS
I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made;
Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;

I shared a Yeats poem this morning for #poemsbeforephones . Just discovered that today is the anniversary of his death.
#QuotsyDec18 Day 14: A beautiful, lofty being, heroically #Found. How soulful. Love Yeats!

There isn‘t just one book that inspired my trip to Ireland 🇮🇪 and my vacation wasn‘t completely literary themed, but I did spend a good portion seeing where some of these authors & poets lived.
Another way to collect writers.Aripex the philatelic show was here this weekend so I indulged.I have to admit I was not familiar with New Zealand‘s Baxter and Mason,thanks Wikipedia.These take up a lot less space than books, but you put them in books.....😃
One of my favorite poets. The Lake Isle of Inisfree always makes me feel at peace. When I️ graduates high school my English teacher gave me a copy of “the song of wandering aengus.” I️ keep copies of both with me and reread it in moments of doubt and anxiety. Here is 1919. #novemberbythenumbers #poetry #day19
Poetry makes my heart sing. Thought of this one by Yeats immediately for the #lost prompt for #quotsynov17. Heroically lost, heroically found. ❤️ #quotsy @TK-421

"Beloved, let your eyes half close, and your heart beat
Over my heart, and your hair fall over my breast,
Drowning love's lonely hour in deep twilight of rest,
And hiding their tossing manes and their tumultuous feet." #WBYeats
Happy St. Patrick's Day from our Irish family to you! A few favorites: W.B. Yeats, Guinness, and of course corned beef cooking in the crock pot.

For some reason I can't get this poem out of my head today 🤔
Edit: I think it's super telling that every single person I've come across on Litsy appears to have political views similar to mine. Almost as if the other side isn't so big on the reading ...
‘The work is done,‘ grown old he thought, ‘According to my boyish plan; Let the fools rage, I swerved in naught, Something to perfection brought‘; But louder sang that ghost, ‘What then?‘
A couple of days ago I read an article about 2nd hand books and how they affect the book business because we don't pay the real price of the book and none of the profits goes to the author or the industry which makes those books. But at the same time, 2nd hand books have a lot of pros and cons too. What do you think about it?
P.D.: Nice comic by Jacob Andrews. 😂
