Graphic edition of Gaiman‘s short story. Spare and dark, but there was little depth for me. Beautiful illustration juxtaposed with an ugly tale. It is a pan with only 2+⭐️.

I love these Neil Gaiman graphic novels. This one left me with some questions....

Well this was a very quick read that has left me with a lot of questions. Yeah, I know that that was the point, but reading message boards have not been helpful. I am more confused now than ever. Thanks for nothing, lol. I guess the main mystery I wanted solved was what was the motive, not the identity of the stranger or the importance of that stranger‘s story. This story is going to stick with me for a bit, until I decide to dig a little further.

My #readathon ended with the tagged book, which had Gaiman‘s characteristic darkness, complimented by fitting artwork 👌

I read a little under 600 pages, and I didn‘t keep track of how many hours I read, but I had a lot of fun, and really enjoyed just getting to read for as much as I wanted 📚❤️

My #audiowalk resulted in a new library book and a cake, which feels like the perfect way to spend the last #readathon hour

Book #2 of 2018.

This is a whodunit like none other. The art is beautiful in this graphic novel. The writing is superb, of course. Long after you finish, you will be left wondering…

I need to go hunt down the story this was based on because I really liked the idea behind this story. I also enjoyed the twist at the end. I do wish Gaiman would write more for women in these kind of religiously/ mythologically/theologically based plots. Just so many male characters, and the women do not fare well. Quick read, not Gaiman's best, but it's pretty good.

Beautifully illustrated novella. It felt very much like a set up for future work or a prequel rather than something complete in itself but I still enjoyed it for the concept and artwork.

This is the graphic adaptation of a short story/ radio play and I do think that you can sometimes feel that it wasn't originally a graphic novel for example with long descriptions that would typically be covered by a narrator. Nevertheless, I liked the story and thought it was interesting.

This is my 1st Neil Gaiman graphic novel and I picked it on purpose, because it didn't sound scary. I don't do scary in movies and graphic novels.
