A wonderful life shattered by the Nazi invasion of Poland has Reuven‘s family losing their dignity, their umbrella business, and then their home.

A beautifully written and detailed account of the heartbreaking life of Reuven during WWII.

You will love Reuven for his strength and loyalty as you hope for something happy to happen in his life.

A marvelous debut.  5/5

We meet Hannah who is a prisoner in Theresienstadt and Hilde her childhood friend who is a member of the Reich and who is making a propaganda film about the camp that was touted to be a luxury community to keep its Jewish population safe.

A small Scottish village has secrets, and Dorothy has been keeping one for many years.

Not an uplifting read, but it is beautifully written, has a pull-you-in storyline, and a main character you don‘t know if you want to feel sorry for or be angry with for the choices she makes.

A moving, thought- provoking debut. 4/5

LOVED this book!!

Could having someone‘s heart cause you to feel what they felt?

The book gets very tense and good even though it was slow for the first half of the book.

It will have you trying to figure out the mysterious author, the murders, and how Rosie fits into all of this.

A good psychological thriller - stay with it!! P4/5
