This was a great thriller. I loved the flashbacks to Beth telling the story of Hannah. What a messed up character Hannah was! I didn‘t see the big twist coming however found some parts a bit predictable. Overall, I really enjoyed this. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I wanted to love this book. I had heard so much about it, but it just wasn't for me. The story of Louise having an affair with her boss and befriending his wife had all the makings of a great psychological thriller. I honestly loved the beginning, but then, the book took an odd turn in my opinion. I just didn‘t like the parts with the dreams, and the ending seemed really far-fetched to me. I know this isn‘t popular opinion, but ⭐️⭐️ for me.
Pumpkinheads written by Rainbow Rowell and illustrated by Faith Erin Hicks is a cute graphic novel set on Halloween in a pumpkin patch. It tells the story of two teenagers who work together at a pumpkin patch and the adventure they go on their last night working there. Definitely a fun, Halloween read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I held off on reading this book because it was listed as horror, but I didn‘t think it was scary at all. The concept of a child wanting to kill her mother is creepy, but I thought some of the things she did were far fetched. I did like the writing though and thought the book moved quickly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a mystery, but also a story of family and love. I thought it started a little slow, but about 40% into it I didn‘t want to put it down. I thought the author did a good job with showing the mother daughter relationship, and she kept me guessing throughout the entire book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I thought part 1 of this book was great. It moved so quickly, but then I felt like part 2 dragged a bit. The book could have been a bit shorter in my opinion, but I do think the story was different than anything else I‘ve read. The book was a quick read, and I loved that it had shorter chapters. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I got my Book of the Month books today. I went with Imaginary Friend, Well Met, and The Ten Thousand Doors of January. What did you get?
I thought this book was really good. It was very creepy, and I loved the haunted house vibe. However, I didn‘t like that the ending left me wanting more and confused. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My September wrap up. Favorite - The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Least favorite - Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Graphic novels just aren‘t my thing!
I forgot to post my September wrap up yesterday. I read 11 books. My favorite was The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. My least favorite was Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I don‘t think graphic novels are for me.
WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO READ THIS? The writing is fantastic, and I loved the story of Evelyn. I highly recommend this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I thought this was such a charming WWII historical fiction novel. The way it was told in letters between the characters was perfect for this story, and I just loved all the quirky characters. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I read twelve books in August. My favorites were The Outsiders, How to Walk Away, and The Whisper Man. What did you read this month? #sammyreadsbooks #augustreads
The concept of a magical diary that makes what you write in it come true, is intriguing. Taking it to the next level with the diary changing those things to make bad things happen makes for a good fantasy book for young adult readers; however, this book is very simply written and could have been more imaginative in my opinion. There could have been some scarier elements especially when dealing with an evil diary. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Although this book was beautifully written, I just struggled to get into it. I felt that the pace was very slow, and it didn't hold my interest at times. I used to love Greek mythology, but maybe my tastes have changed. The pace does pick up about halfway through, but it still was a slow read for me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a fun read! I wanted to read it because it‘s set in Salem, MA, which is one of my favorite towns. I do think this may have been a little to YA for me personally, but the story was cute though. I listened to it on audible and thought the narrator did a good job.
My current time read for the @MonthlyBookClub readathon. I have a long way to go! #mbcreadathon #mbcfrogsread3

This was my first book by Katherine Center, and I really enjoyed it. I thought the story was written really well. I liked the characters and the growth they all went through.
Wow! This was so creepy and well written. I really enjoyed it. There were some points I found really scary, but I loved it! Definitely one of the best thrillers I‘ve read. I definitely don‘t recommend reading it in bed at night with your windows open, but I definitely recommend reading it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loving my new rolling book cart from Michael‘s!
Years ago, when I read Song of Solomon, I had never read a book like it. It is still one of my all time favorite books. Toni Morrison had such a way with words. #rip
I really enjoyed this coming of age story. Levi was a great character! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was my first book of Charles Sheehan-Miles, and it was very good. It‘s definitely got some tough subject matter, but the author did a great job handling it in a tasteful way. I definitely recommend this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book was highly recommended, but I just thought it moved too slowly. There was no action in the first two thirds, and then it all came out, but I prefer my books to have action throughout. Maybe that‘s just me?
3.5/5 stars! The Arrangement by Robyn Harding is an interesting concept. I didn‘t know much about the Sugar Baby lifestyle prior to reading this. Overall, I found the story interesting and the author definitely kept me wanting to read more. It was a hard book to put down. I did figure out the big twist, but it didn‘t make me want to stop reading. I think that I would have liked this book better if the characters weren‘t all so unlikable.
This book was well written and fast paced for the most part. As the author was building up to the big twist I started to piece it together, but I didn‘t see it coming until then. I felt there were some parts that were a little drawn out, and I just didn‘t believe there was enough time for the last journal entry (no spoilers!) which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.
