HBO: We‘re releasing a limited series based on Wally Lamb‘s book, I Know This Much is True.
Me: I own this book, I must read it before I watch the series!
Wally Lamb: Ya gonna be here a while!
🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤗

Curiouser_and_curiouser Ooooohhhh, I own this too! And have done for about 18years. I should add it to this year's TBR 5y
mc916 @Curiouser_and_curiouser I bought it at a library book sale about 5 years ago and it‘s been on my TBR shelf since too! Lol 5y

A good listen for this past week. I really enjoyed her writing however not a scandalous as i had thought. A little bit of Gray Gardens and a little bit of Gatsby.
Week 5 of #bfcr2 and I‘ve been busy trying to keep my commitment. @wanderinglynn @WriterAtHeart @Econaghan @BookishBelle @jmtrivera @Honeybeegirl @laura311 @crazyspine

It was pretty good! Set in LA in 2003 - before iPhones & before social media - before selfies! An artist goes missing on the day of her new gallery show called, Still Lives, where the art is all self portraits of her dressed up as famous murdered women like the black dahlia and Nicole Brown Simpson. It has a smart female protagonist and supporting characters. Would make a great book club read too!

mc916 I SWEAR i wasn‘t drunk when i wrote that ☝🏼 5y

What week is this? What day is this? What‘s my name?!?! Full disclosure: I was in strategy meetings all last week and only made it to the gym once because i was there from 7-5, everyday. What did I miss??? Picture of my team at a much needed work outing 😂 #BFCR2

wanderinglynn That looks like fun! I hope this week is a bit calmer for you. 👍🏻😉 5y

@TheNerdyProfessor we spent the day in Cambridge! We hit up some breweries and of course, Harvard! The bookstore had some great finds in the basement that we bought as gifts to bring back (we actually mailed them back because books are heavy)! Thank you for the recommendation!! #harvardbookstore

I‘m re-reading The Goldfinch in between my current read, which is about art too! Hahahah

TheNerdyProfessor I am so glad you found it! That store is one of my favorites. If you ever get to go back, Christmastime in Boston is beautiful. 5y

Week 2 check in and we‘re back from our 9-day vacation. NYC was amazing! We got to see 2 shows: Burn This with Keri Russell and Adam Driver (swoon), and The Book of Mormon which was HILARIOUS!! The good thing about NYC is all the walking and we got no less than 15K steps a day! Reminder: I‘m in a boot! I hope everyone else had a great week as well!! #bfcround2 📷 the Guggenheim in NYC

jmtrivera That sounds like a blast! 5y
wanderinglynn What an awesome week! 🙌🏻 and so cool you got to see Adam Driver! ❤️ 5y
mc916 @wanderinglynn He‘s my crush! Luckily, my husband is a theater geek so he was happy to see the play. What‘s funny is that he commented on all the young people there and how proud he was that they supported the arts. I gave him a look with a “they‘re here to see Adam Driver!” Sure enough, the second he entered the stage, all the girls (myself included) gasped, squealed, and cheered! Hahahahha! 5y

mc916 @jmtrivera we did 9 days: Boston, Maine, and NYC! We are exhausted! Just the two of us. No teenage daughter! It was so much fun! 5y

Started a new one on vacation. Book 2/4 for the challenge. We are in Boston for the next 2 days and we love it! It‘s our first time here ❤️ Today we‘re going to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and hoping to get in over 10K steps like yesterday (even with my boot) #teamnewbie #bfc @wanderinglynn @Econaghan @BookBridget @laura311 @WriterAtHeart @jmtrivera @Honeybeegirl @BookishBelle @crazyspine

TheNerdyProfessor If you have time, I would take the Subway to Cambridge and visit the Harvard Bookstore 🥰 5y
mc916 @TheNerdyProfessor yeah? I‘m down! I love old bookstores too! I was complaining about not seeing any yesterday when we walked around the freedom trial. Are they open on Sundays too? 5y
TheNerdyProfessor OMGee, you must go! It's adorable and they have new books upstairs and used books downstairs. Plus there are a lot of cute restaurants in Harvard Square. I looked online and it's open from 10am to 10pm on Sundays. Ooooh, I hope you love it!! 5y

I wanted a light listen with some mystery and came across this gem. It‘s very soap opera-y, perhaps it‘s the audio, but i did sit an extra 3 minutes in my car to finish the juicy chapter 😂. It‘s already better than the one i didn‘t finish, because that was booorreeeeee!! @Econaghan @BookBridget @wanderinglynn @laurar311 @WriterAtHeart @jmtrivera @Honeybeegirl @BookishBelle #book1of4 #bfcround2

crazyspine You got this! I've never done crossfit; have you been doing it for a while? We could be #teamnewbie 6y
mc916 @crazyspine yes, 6 years! It‘s the only thing i know how to do. I can assure you that i am NOT one of those athletes you see on TV! I love the combo of lifting and cardio, the class environment, and being able to drop as many Fbombs as i can, lol! I like#teamnewbie! 6y

Bailedbailed

Y‘all, this monster of a bore is told in 2 parts. I returned it shortly after part 1. I swear i read 3567533 pages of absolutely NOTHING but some pathetic, entitled man‘s complaining and whining about his useless existence and his sad wife. I cannot be the only person who couldn‘t (or wouldn‘t) make it through this painful punishment...was I?

BookDragonNotWorm I made it through, but still don't know WTF the point of this book was. The wife's perspective was even worse. 6y

I just saw that Reese is making a Hulu series based on the book. I think the series will be better than the book and hope she dives deeper into all the characters. Thoughts? #littlefireseverywhere #reesewitherapoon

marleed I liked this book but may have loved it if the author hadn‘t so clearly made Mia, with all her choices, the paradigm of parenting. I‘ll be interested to see how Kerry and Reese approach the two mothers. 6y
mc916 @marleed that‘s what pissed me off the most! I honestly felt that the book would take a different turn, and perhaps that‘s why i wasn‘t thrilled with it. I really enjoyed, Everything I Never Told You, but this one fell flat. 6y
