Getting my #Romanceopoly on
Olive and Bax are so cute together. Seeing them step out of their comfort zones together and growing into the people they were meant to become was quite lovely. What I don‘t understand is what did Olive do to warrant being assigned a guardian angel? I guess I was just anticipating some sort of true danger that ever occurred. I‘m hoping that Harper gets to have her story told. #netgalley
[Pt.1] “Tock” is a time management obsessed honey badger and Shay is a curious tiger and doting single father. These two team up along with their family and teammates (not friends) to figure out who is behind the new poison that is being formulated specifically to kill honey badgers; as well as a question from previous book, who killed Shays father? #netgalley
[Pt.2] The romance isn‘t really the main focus but I really like Tock and Shay together and the relationship that builds between Tock and Shays daughter, Dani is adorable. Honestly Dani kinda steals the show, well her and Charlie. Charlie is always a star. They have the next couple, Keane and “Nelle” all lined up and I can‘t wait. I love them already.
Bottom line these crazy honey badgers are entertaining as always. #netgalley
[Pt. 1] My favorite thing in the whole book was the relationship between Parisa and her sister. They go to each other for advice and really respect each others opinions. They are sisters but they are also good friends and l think that's pretty great, my sister is my bestie too.
Parisa and Malakai are neighboring vets with widely different views on the best way to treat their furry patients. #netgalley
[Pt. 2] The way they behaved in the beginning was so unprofessional and childish it would have served them right if both of their businesses failed. This made them quite unlikeable to me and I never really got past that. Add in a very uncomfortable love triangle about halfway through and I'll just say this wasn't for me. #netgalley
Friends to lovers isn‘t a favorite trope of mine. The “no I can‘t tell them how I feel it will ruin everything” when not saying anything is the only thing standing in the way of being together, it‘s just not my jam. What I did like was when they were making music, you could feel how much they loved it. Maybe it‘s petty of me, but I a little bit wanted Huck to put out a whole album of his songs, name it something like “How it Should Have Been.” Lol
HE'S GROSS & SHE'S CHILDISH: PART 1
I'm confused are we supposed to find it funny that he answers his phone while getting a blowie? That he can't push a rando off his D long enough to pay attention to one of his best friends telling him that her apartment burned down? Or that he used her as his own personal tinder app all through high school when she was clearly into him?
HE'S GROSS & SHE'S CHILDISH: PART 2
Being in her head is like reading a 14 year olds diary she pines for him for 12 years while watching him take home every tall tan and thin woman in the city. And she refers to a penis as a popsicle so funny! (Not) though she does make sure to tell us that it is in fact "so funny!"
All the conflict doesn't really do anything to further the story it all seemed unnecessary. Josh and Gretchen's relationship was based entirely on sex the one time they do something that isn't sex we must be told that the relationship isn't all about the sex. We aren't shown that to be true making it seem all the more like they have been whammied by each other's magical downstairs naughty places. #netgalley

These books are so fun the devil plays matchmaker. It's very cheesy in a way that I find delightful. I've got this aversion to Santa so to see him depicted as kind of a jerk totally works for me.
⭐ I couldn't get into this one I was just so bored it felt like it took forever to finish it probably because I literally fell asleep multiple times trying to get through this.
I didn't find any of the characters particularly likable except maybe Liam. What really noped this story for me was the "love bug" and how it works. It's essentially long term date rape. That they would even consider this an option is horrible.

I don't understand why the author made the relationship between hero and his ex so serious. They dated off/on for at least a decade got tattoos to symbolize their love to each other and we're to believe hes suddenly ok with his brother marrying the woman he once thought he would marry himself?Thats just too much history to blow off.And then they make the hero out to be the asshole because he didnt talk to them after he found out they were engaged🙄
⭐ I really like a lot of Eve Langlais books they are a go to when I want something short and fun. But I didn't care for this one the big twist didn't land for me then there was this bit ⬆️⬆️⬆️ BTW she refers to him as her cousin for the rest of the book. So... yeah... that's a little weird.
