Former imagineer, and a force behind the Haunted Mansion, Rolly Crump, had a whole set of unused ideas for a "Museum of the Weird" at the end of the attraction. His museum never came to fruition after Walt Disney's death. Recently, a group of current imagineers teamed up with Marvel to create a series of attraction comics. Great idea! Poor execution! The art is beautiful, but the story is disjointed. This could have been triple the length.

I finished this gem today! It was nice to read such a refreshing and honest book. None of that "this is what you need to do to be an amazing person." Felicia Day was candid, funny, and most of all, open. I highly recommend this!

Riding on the coat tails of a Big Magic catastrophe - this is more my speed. This book is great! Felicia Day is so relatable and refreshing. I'm about 3/4 through and I highly recommend so far!

I've been reading this book for almost three months... even now, I'm struggling to bail on it. I feel that as a creative, I should be feeding off this book and gaining some mystical inspiration that I can't find elsewhere. In truth - I can't stand it. I find Melissa Gilbert trite and preachy... constantly telling me what I should be doing, and have done wrong for my whole career. If you want to feel bad about your choices, this is a good pick.

I've been trying to start up my own little calligraphy and letterpress business and keep gravitating towards inspirational books. This is a re-read for me, but I'm hoping it'll help light a fire under me. Doesn't hurt that it'll life spirits in the meantime :) #strongertogether

And like that, it's over. I jumped the gun earlier writing this book off. Is it the next literary classic? Absolutely not. However, it was a fast, lighthearted read that made me look at my life and wonder some of the same things Joanna did. She speaks a lot to intuition and listening to yourself, something I need to do more of. It's refreshing to see them shout these things from the rooftop for the world to hear. Overall, a good read!

There is no better way to spend a rainy fall evening. I'm not 100% sold on this book - although I have to admit that's what I expected. Overall it's a nice, fast read. #beerandbooks
