I can appreciate the love story within this book, but I can‘t say that I was left heartbroken after this read, which so many people have said you would. With each new book I read of Colleen Hoover‘s I am fascinated by her ability to have such diversity in her writing. This story was so much more than just a romance novel as it tackled some pretty hard topics. Overall, it may not be my favorite novel by Colleen but I can really appreciate the message of this book.

Ok not gonna lie, this book had a slow start for me but once I got half way through I couldn‘t put the book down. I found this story so heartwarming and it surprised me how much I could feel for an octopus. Marcellus was truly remarkable 💜 4/5 ⭐️

This book felt different from the other Colleen books I have read, but I liked it. I really enjoyed the mother-daughter dynamic and honestly all the characters were just so likable. Some parts of the story were predicable and borderline cliché but it didn‘t take too much away from the story, overall I found it heartwarming

Sadly this one will not be making it to the favorites list. :( However, I can always appreciate Colleen‘s writing therefore I was able to read this book pretty fast and still appreciate the plot as well, despite a little un-likability of the main characters. 6/10

This one is definitely getting added to the favorites list. The character and plot development was just 🤌🏼 she really had you rooting so so hard for them and a happy ending. My girl Colleen never disappoints 9/10

This book had a rather slow build to a quick and shocking end, but I enjoyed the story and the whole time I thought I was hoping to be able to figure out the ending, but I was completely caught off guard lol. Overall it was an exciting read! 8/10

I have yet to read anything by Taylor Jenkins Reid that I didn‘t enjoy. The style this book was written in kept it fun and fast and it was so easy to feel connected to the characters. While I personally may have been hoping for a different ending, overall the book was great and the ending was fitting enough! 8/10
