New covers! It definitely looks like they're trying to go more YA than middle grade with this packaging. I don't know---they're cool, but very "gritty tv" looking. A little generic, and not the most representative of the tone or content of the books.

Hag-Seed | Margaret Atwood
Pickpick

Atwood's contribution to the Hogarth Shakespeare series is a playful, poignant riff on The Tempest. As a novel, it's engaging, fun, and it doesn't require an intimate familiarity with the play. As a remix, it rises above simple modernization by constantly questioning which characters are really enacting which parts, who is the hero or monster or fool. The descriptions of actors and inmates interacting with Shakespeare are especially great.
