"this was the time of day when I most wished I were able to sleep. High school."
Started this one today. I was so excited to get it in the mail! So far, so good. ☺️
I can't even begin to put into words how much I love this book. It's an incredible story of bravery, finding oneself, growth, female empowerment and strength all wrapped up in a dark, real, powerful spin on a fairytale we all know.
Guys, I cried. So. Much. Reading this. Amazing, happy, ugly tears. The writing is beautiful and has so many fantastic quotes. This is going to be one that stays with me for a long time.
It's a beautiful day to be snugging my pup, reading a good book ❤️
WOW. I am absolutely, head over heels in love with this book. It had eveything I could ever want. Murder, mystery, intrigue, magic, ghosts, grand balls, whimsy, romance, drama, and so much heart. Beautifully written and so well done. This has become my favorite book I have read this year.
I really enjoyed this quick read! I really wish a few plot points would have been fleshed out a little better but overall, a really fun, interesting and engaging story. I would definitely recommend.
Onto the next! I'm a huge slut for both YA and Scifi and this quick read seems to fit the bill perfectly. 😊
Well now I'm mad that there isn't a third book to read yet. But I loved this one more than the first!
This is such a beautiful book. It was so fantastical and had so much heart. I'm so happy to have read this book, even if I'm left with bittersweet tears in the end.
Going into October with this guy. I love Neil Gaiman and I've heard amazing things. I'm excited! 🎃
Wow. I was so pleasantly surprised by this one. I'm not typically a fan of crime thrillers because I always feel like they are predictable and have the same formula with different characters. This one blew me away. Exciting and scary and kept me guessing. I could not put it down!
Just got these in a book swap and OMG I AM SO EXCITED. Been meaning to read THT for a while now and I'm stoked to have it now AND Testaments!
So I found this entire set on ThriftBooks for $9 and I couldn't *not* buy it. This series is so nostalgic for me. It's like comfort food. Curl up with these and a cup of tea and everything is right in the world. ❤️
I have some thoughts about this one. It was very entertaining and I loved the bits of actually history thrown in. Witches and Salem and magic, what more could a girl ask for? However, it wasn't very well written. It was fairly cheesy at times. But I can absolutely overlook that because it was su h a fun read. I'd recommend this if you are looking for a fun, easy read during this spooky, witchy season.
I need a little light reading before I start the second book in the Kingkiller Chronicles. I've heard good things about this. Starting today. 😊
Oh boy, this one was a doozy! I laughed, I cried, I fell in love with Kvothe. Cannot wait for the second book! ❤️
I'm starting this journey today. I've heard so many people gushing about it. I cannot wait to dive in! ❤️
Despite taking *forever* to finish, I actually really enjoyed this one! I actually liked it a lot better than the first in the series. Looking forward to the next when it comes out.
Yay! Thank you SO much @krayoncolorz these are AWESOME! I love the history AND one of my favorite games right now is Fallout 76, set it West Virginia so this location has popped up a few times. Needless to say, I'm kinda geeking out a little. Haha

I am feeling the need to burn through my books quickly since I have a habit of checking too many out from the library at once. But I'm excited to start this one! Ready, set, GO!
Oh my God, I love this book so much. It was everything I was looking for. Futuristic, well rounded characters, intriguing conflict and great twists. I cannot wait to read the next one!
Just picked this one up this morning and I can't put it down. This is such an interesting concept and it's written really well, so far. I'm really enjoying it!
Wooooow. So this was a wild ride. I really loved it. Mind fucky books are my absolute favorite and this one did not disappoint. I still have to say, I like Recursion more but this book was great. Blake Crouch is quickly becoming my new favorite author. He is brilliant.
I actually really enjoyed this book! I have two others on my TBR (that are due back to the library soon) so I'll be reading those before diving into the next books in the series. But this book was delightful. Definitely a page turner. I'm glad I read it.
Moving onto a new book that I will hopefully enjoy more than the last. A book about witches and magick, have to have my familiar with me. 😉
Ugh. I really disliked this one. I enjoyed it at first, but the more I read, the more I rolled my eyes. The conflict was lame and resolved too quickly. The sex scenes were cringy and at the most inappropriate moments (for example *immediately* following her confession of horrible childhood sexual abuse). I'm pretty disappointed in this one.
And now for a little smut. I've heard this series is great!
Oh boy. This one was actually fascinating. I stayed up way too late last night to finish it and I regret nothing. The dynamic between Hanna and Suzette was complicated and heartbreaking but I still found myself wanting to drop kick this 7 year old in a book. I really really enjoyed this book, as terrifying as it is. I would definitely recommend it.
WOW. It's been a long time since a book pulled me in and gripped me like this one did. I could not put it down. Thrilling, exciting, heartbreaking, I could go on. Beginning to end, this book is just perfect. I cannot recommend this one enough. 5 stars!
Guys, I'm not even halfway through and I'm OBSESSED with this book. A total mindfuck in the best way possible. I cannot put this one down.
Ok, just got off that rollercoaster of Lock Every Door. Now I need to pick which to read next. I'm leaning towards Recursion... Any suggestions?
Just finished. And wow! What a wild ride! The thing I appreciate about this book (and the other books from the same author) is that it wasn't predictable. I kinda pegged who the bad guy was early on, but even that had a twist. There were many other twists as well that kept me guessing until the end. Action packed, terrifying and intriguing. I'd definitely recommend this one.
It's a good Monday when I can curl up with a good book and a glass of wine. Just starting this one. I've heard great things!
I always need some ambient noise when I read. Found the perfect soundtrack for this book. ❤️
