I adore books, but I may not be the best judge of a book as I tend to get so involved in the story, even if it's not that good

Did you read The Da Vinci Code or Origin first? I'd thought Da Vinci code, but I recently heard that you should start with Origin.
Thoughts?
Merry Christmas❤️

Andrew65 Like most people I‘d imagine I‘ve already read the Da Vinci Code but it was many years ago. I am yet to read Origin. 7y

For January, I'm going to read my beloved Shakespeare. Although I've seen several plays, and read a few, I've never gotten a chance to read the poems. Very excited!

Natasha.C.Barnes Yay! Thanks for reposting, do glad to hear you're with us! I should have known not to put my username at the very bottom! 😳😆 7y

This has been in my #tbrlist for waaaaaay too long. About 20 pages in...
So far not a lot of plot, but an insane amount of backstory, that left me slightly confused.
The main story is about to start, and I think it will pick up then..

Are y'all fans of The Hobbit/LotR?

Andrew65 I read The Hobbit many years ago but hadn‘t read LOTR before watching the stupendous films! Aimed to read the books this year but failed on that one! Have read the first one and am approaching halfway in the second one. 7y
DivaDiane Yes!!! Read them all before the movies came out. 7y

Does anyone have a recommendation for a 2018 reading challenge?

Amie Book Riot's Read Harder challenge is always good. Popsugar always has a good one too. Sorry, I don't have the links, but they should come up in a Google search. 7y

This book was good. It was deep, and strange, but I liked it. It made me think. I'd be interested in reading something else by Liu.

I couldn't finish this book. It made me so incredibly sad, in a way that other horribly sad books never had

Wonder | R. J. Palacio

A friend recommended this and then it was required reading for a class. I loved this book, but forgot about it until people began to talk about it so much because of the movie. It was very sweet, and had realistic characters. I don't mind when there are different characters narrating the book, but in this they did it ~wonder~fully. I liked the additional Julian/Christopher/Charlotte chapters, which added another layer to the story. #wonder

So. Funny thing, I haven't actually read it. There was a book fair, and my friends found it and we talked about it nonstop, just from the ~beautiful~ title. I think I will read it though.

I have mixed feelings about this book. While it's one of the most creative books I've read, (props to the author for the whole abridged thing) I also didn't love it. Hated the ending too. I think people should read no matter what though. Also, LOVE the movie. #inconceivable #havefunstormingthecastle

A friend said that this was hard to understand, so I read it to help them, as anyone would. I quickly fell in love with it. It can be difficult as it almost wanders around the story and is rather poetic. It's the kind of book you should read quickly, not in small pieces over the course of a while. But... anyways, it was great, and it was perfectly balanced through the different parts of the story. #yes #lovedit #surprisedme

This book destroyed me emotionally. Actually a lot of books do. But this one... It was amazing. The last few chapters really stuck with me, even months after I read it. It was a great book and I loved it. #wow #notthathappy #reread

So, I read this book a few years ago and loved it. Just a few weeks ago I reread it, and the more I got into it the more I realized it wasn't what I thought. I still like it, but it isn't the sweet romance I remember. The characters seem different, and I slightly dislike Rochester. I think people should read it, just be sure to READ it if that make sense. Don't assume that what you think is what is real

I bought this book when it was on discount at a bookstore on a trip. My first reaction was 'Wow this is the biggest HP ripoff ever' but I soon forgot about that. Now I love it. I was dreaded the all to soon end(there were only 500ish pages...) It was amazing. Hard to say why: magic, fantastic characters, plot twists😌#snowbaz#magic #surprisedme #andthinlyveileddrarryfanfic #sequelplease #drarry #sequelneeded #desperately

Loved the whole series, and this book was one of the best. It completed the series, and there isn't much else to say except that it was amazing. I read when I was home sick, and after finishing had a bittersweet moment, it was over, but it was perfect. Not to mention Lemony Snicket it hilarious #vfd #asoue #theend
