Loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Really good so far!
It was a good glimpse of a love affair that happens late in life. The observations about love , marriage , aging and sickness were very detailed. I liked the author's perspective. It was sad but made me reflect and think about a lot about my own life. I recommend this book.
Started this book last night. Challenging myself to read a graphic novel every once in a while.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ a beautiful meditation on marriage. I loved the writing and the complete honesty and truth. Many, many good quotes but loved this one. "The future - even minutes from now-is an actuarial guess." ???
Continuing the trend I am on of reading a fiction book then memoir! Started this book today and already I know what I will be doing this weekend. So good.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Finished this book in two days! Memoirs about addiction are aplenty but this was so much more: family dynamics , an inside into the beauty magazine world and of course a look into life as an addict. A functioning addict. I'm amazed at all Cat has gotten through and glad that she has lived to tell her story. It took guts and perseverance to write this memoir!
I'm starting this today. It has been in my TBR for while. Now is the time to take it on.
I enjoyed reading this book and was sad when it ended. Andy is quirky and dished a lot of fun, interesting info! He's the real deal- not superficial at all. Loved his honesty and hearing about life in NYC as a known personality.
I liked this book. It took me awhile to get into it. I liked the alternating perspectives. I would say the last 1/3 of the book was excellent.
So much fun for a very happy nine year old! He got to meet his favorite author! #startemyoung!
Bailed! I couldn't get into it or care enough about the characters! 2nd book I've bailed on in two weeks.😢
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ a good solid read. Very open and honest. I liked reading about her family. She is a dedicated daughter to her Father. It was sweet to read. I liked the last half of the book better than the first. Oh and it broke the trend of no photos in memoirs! The photos were fun to see.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Finished this book today. Glennon is truth. She was so brave to share her story for all of us to read. So many powerful messages. We are all warriors in our own way. She is a true teacher. #lovewins, #lifeisbrutiful#wecandohardthings
#Sundaysentence- love Glennon. This was written by her Sister. 💜📖
Look what just arrived in the mail today! So excited to start this book. Might have to bail on Rich and Pretty.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Finished it! Tough subject matter rough themes but all the feels. All of them. Best book I've read this summer. I can and then I can't understand why there wasn't a lot of hype about this book. It was well written. It will stay with me for awhile. I'm sad I'm done reading it. 💫🌟✨✨

When a book is so good you only want to read a few pages at a time. Savoring every word! It's that good!
I'm already sucked in... Amy has been shelved. Exactly the kind of book I have been wanting to read all summer. 👍🏻⭐️
Finished! It was informative and kept me interested the whole way through. Glad I finally got this off my tbr list.
This book was really just so so for me. While I enjoyed the tree data. I had a hard time really caring for the author. There just wasn't enough in depth personal information for me to really care. When she would get personal it was just a glimpse and then on to something else. I don't want to go into a lot of detail because it can be a spoiler. Just wasn't enough there for me. The long descriptions about nothing drove me nuts.
#tbr Tuesday! A lot of books and not a lot of time to read! Thanks Litsy for fueling my book purchasing power! #willgetthruthemall!
Ok since I can't decide which should I read? I haven't read a memoir in awhile. What do you all suggest? Let me know!
It's hard to say that I enjoyed this book. It was extremely well written and researched. The structure was at first hard to get used to but after reading for a bit it started to flow nicely. Reading this book during this very sad time in our country made me even sadder. 😢
It is what I'm reading next! I hope it lives up to all the many, many great reviews! 👍🏻
Finished this easy breezy summer book! Loved all the Brooklyn references. Enjoyed some of the characters but especially loved Ruby. Which surprised me! Great summer read!
What I will be reading for the next couple of weeks. Can't wait to read these books.
I finished this gem of a book last night. I loved the writing. The characters were very interesting but in a way I wished they had a bit more depth. Although thinking that maybe that was intentional. Overall a great read.
A book that stays with you for years. An amazing true story of perseverance while living through one tragedy after another. Truly a remarkable story. Didn't just like ... Loved it!
"I contemplated the skyline this double feeling came to me as one thought, pressing in from either side of the bridge, impossible for me to reconcile: It is ludicrous for anyone to live here and I can never leave."
Finished 32 yolks last night! Loved it! Now ready to start Sweet Bitter!
Really enjoying this book so far. But wondering why memoirs these days are not including photos? Is it $ costs? I really wonder ?
Fantastic book. Takes the reader on a great medical journey to discovery of a very little known disease. But one that probably has affected many people through the centuries. "Finally, he sat down in the bed near me. He turned to my parents and said, " her brain is on fire."
