Great read, and is thorough in the approach to both understanding and healing from difficult experiences.

Untamed | Glennon Doyle

This book is set up as excerpts and revelations from Glennon Doyle‘s life. This book really made me self reflect on all the things women and people in general confine themselves to. We are all products of systems, cultures, and constructs. It makes you wonder what we would be had we not been told what we should be?

Interesting read exploring the idea of how generalists can thrive in a world designed to promote specialization. The epitome of jack of all trades, but a master of none. Worth the read.

Provides a general overview of global health interests. For individuals working in this industry it does not provide very new insights, but I would recommend it to individuals curious about their foundation and how it came to be. I also enjoyed her ideas on finding balance in her marriage and how to promote public health without alienating religious groups.

This book was very well written and had great flow. Her memoir is insightful and extremely honest. She shares her deepest thoughts and revelations on belonging based constructs of citizenship, race, privilege, and gender. I couldn‘t put the book down and highly recommend it.

Educated: A Memoir | Tara Westover

Captivating memoir of a woman‘s desire to escape a world constructed by her strict and religious father. Amazing story of self preservation and persistence of education in the face of significant emotional abuse.

I enjoyed it a lot. I was able to get through it quickly. Presented an interesting viewpoint of growing up in a community with various struggles and the difficulty of getting out of it without various hurdles.
