It is about the turbulent #relationship between a daughter-father duo whose #addictions and struggles run parallel after the #postpartum #suicide of the mother.
Some books look better naked. 😝 This may easily be one of the strangest books I have decided to read - but I found it for $1.25 at #DollarTree and threw it in to my #bookhaul. Finished the entire thing - maybe skipped the second-last chapter 🙊 - during a bubble bath! 🛁 Definitely a #youngadult novel, as the dialogue is very juvenile, and the plot-twists, character relationships, and climax are quite simple. Still an enjoyable read!
I'm only sixty-five pages into "I Was Here", but I have really enjoyed it so far! ? Parts of the novel are somewhat awkward - including the development of main character, Cody - but the story is otherwise alluring and beautiful!
Maybe 1/4 of my books. Most of my full series, I picked up at the #library #booksale! Annually, they hold a "Fill Any Bag for $5.00" sale... And they hate seeing me. Clearly, they underestimated how many books can fit in to a metro reusable shopping bag, because my last trip scored me 52 new #books for my ever-expanding collection. ?? #thatsthatshitwedolike
