The first 100 or so pages of this book were not very scary. A few odd things happened, but really the only thing of note was the interesting quotes scattered throughout. The last 100 pages were nearly the exact opposite. Everything seemed to come undone and I was frantically trying to make sense of what was happening. I walked away from this book baffled and a little impressed. It was a good book, but I was left feeling lost for most of the end.

I didn't mind the play format so much. I missed the detail, but it made for a much faster read. I did, however, mind that the first 3/4 of the book were dedicated to Harry's child complaining about him so much. While the end was a little out there, I thought it was arguably the best part. Not quite sure how to rate this one. I'm very on the fence with it.

The_Little_Librarian I felt the same way! I liked it for what it was, I think, but I have such mixed feelings about it. I think I'm going to read it again to see if I feel differently. I am really curious to see the play and how everything is performed! 8y
JessAndHerBooks @The_Little_Librarian I agree. I think it would be a lot of fun to watch it live. 8y

And I Darken | Kiersten White

Pickpick

I really loved that each character in this book had their own type of strength. Lada was an incredibly strong female character and I often found myself trying to decide if I thought she was nuts or brave. That being said, sometimes the characters stubborn strength brought the story to levels that were slow or frustrating. Overall, though, I thought it was a great read.

I read Kiersten White's book Paranormalcy in a day after my friend recommended it to me. I enjoyed that enough that I decided to give some of her other books a try! Here's to hoping her characters are as quirky and interesting in this book as they were in Paranormalcy!

Lizpixie You won't be disappointed, this is fantastic!☺️ 8y

This book picked up right where the last left off. It had the same fast, action packed pacing. I was surprised with what the solution wound up being and impressed by the character development. All in all, I would say this series was definitely worth the read.

tnorris One of my favorite series. I felt like it just got better and better with each book! 8y

I have read and loved this series for years now. What am I supposed to do once I finish this one?! I'm so excited to know how it ends, but it's sort of bittersweet.

missarixreads Agreed! I haven't started it yet because I'm afraid of finishing it. 🙈 8y
Booknerd17 I read those a couple years ago and got confused on which ones I had and hadn't read yet so I stopped 😁😂 8y
JessAndHerBooks @Booknerd17 Haha! That's fair since there are quite a few in the series. @missarixreads I was hesitant, but it's really good! This is another that may deserve ice cream and reminiscing so let me know when you finish! 8y

This book started off a little slow for me, but by the end I found myself cheering the characters on. It was sweet and nerdy and a little messy. Also, I definitely loved the fact that the characters got to cosplay and walk around at a comic con. How could I not love this quote?

acc5446 this sounds adorable. 8y
NovelGirl82 This one is on my list, & I've been trying to decide if I should move it up... 8y
JessAndHerBooks @acc5446 @NovelGirl82 It was a pretty cute read. It's short and would probably make a good book to read if you want a break from a bunch of really serious ones. 8y

I loved Solomon and Clark. The dialogue was really fun and well written. I just couldn't bring myself to like Lisa. She was self centered and annoying. As a general rule, she drove me a little nuts. So while the story was good it took me forever to get through because I couldn't stand her. 😩

MrBook Interesting title though 😕. 8y
JessAndHerBooks @MrBook It is. I had really high hopes for this one. While it definitely wasn't the worst book I've ever read, it wasn't as good as I thought it'd be. Maybe others would disagree, but I just spent so much time hung up on Lisa's poor behavior lol 8y

I loved how creepy this book was and the clever explanation of Blue's curse. I loved the addition of Henry. I loved Ronan and Adam and Gansey and Blue. I was a little bummed with how Noah got pushed to the side, but the parts he played were interesting. @JSW Think this will be enough ice cream? 😁

The.lonely.bookworm I am right smack in the middle of this and I am already loving it so much. Stiefvater is a genius and an incredible writer. I plan on picking up her first series (Shiver) after I finish The Raven Cycle ❤️ 8y
JessAndHerBooks @The.lonely.bookworm I agree I absolutely loved her writing style 😍. Let me know how that series goes. I'll probably check it out too! 😊 8y

The beginning of this one was not what I expected (and stressed me out quite a bit). I enjoyed getting to see these characters pick up the pieces and try to forgive each other. I liked this quote and appreciated the way things wrapped up.

This was a pretty stressful read! Kestrel and Arin were so smart, but only about things that didn't involve their relationship. I wish there could've been more world building, but I did appreciate the slower relationship buildup. That ending broke a little piece of my heart...

This book was a ton of fun! It was full of the same action and humor that made me fall in love with Riordan's writing style. I thoroughly enjoyed the idea of a god dealing with being mortal. I can't wait for the next book! I think this little guy is hoping to be invited on the quest!

I almost don't have the words to describe my love for either of the books in this series. I loved Feyre and enjoyed cheering for and crying for her. I enjoyed getting to see how things worked on both the human and fairy sides of the wall. One of my all time favorites. 🌹😍💕🌹

I am in love. I adore Blue's snarky strength and the many layers of Gansey. Every character has their own internal twists and turns that keep you guessing. I found myself surprised on several occasions-including with the way things wrapped up (or didn't) at the end.
