I did have an idea of what the reveal was but couldn't put all the clues together until the end. Overall, I did enjoy reading this book and thought it touched on a lot of different subjects.

I can finally say that I finished reading the Harry Potter series! I watched the movies a long time ago but didn't remember anything except for the Chambers of Secret. I was constantly surprised by the many twists in this book. I cried a lot, but I also laughed a lot as well. It was a fantastic journey, and I'm glad I chose to read this series.

I really enjoyed reading this book! The beginning is kind of confusing because you have no idea what's going on. However, it gets much better. You follow three characters in the book, and I loved how their stories connected with one another. I was constantly surprised by the twists in the book. Overall, I really enjoyed it.

book_em_danno My favorite book this year 6y
Exbrarian Good to know. I have started it a couple of times and walked away from it. It has so many good reviews, I thought it was just me. 6y
BooknerdsLife @Exbrarian Same! I‘ve started 3 times yet I‘ve put it back ...might really give it another go. Thank you @CactiCake (edited) 5y

Cole and his friends go to a haunted house on Halloween but get kidnapped, sent to another world, and sold as slaves. Cole meets new friends and tries finding a way back home. There are five kingdoms, each with a different type of shaping/magic.
These books aren't YA and are meant for children. They are an easy read, but I'm enjoying them more than I thought I would. I like the magic system in this book. It's different than most books I've read.

I heard a lot of good reviews on this book so I decided to check it out. However, it just wasn't for me. The book starts off pretty interesting but once she meets Akiva, that's when I started to lose interest.

BooknerdsLife Oh! I was just going to check this out from my library due to some reviews too 😱😆 6y

This was definitely my favorite book from TMI. I'm glad I read the Infernal Devices before reading the last three books of this series since it mentions characters and events from TID.

BooknerdsLife Mine too!!!! And of course the TID will forever be my favorite series too!! 😍💙 6y

It took me a while to finish this book because of finals, but I finally finished. There were some parts that were hard to get through, but overall I really enjoyed reading this book.

rretzler One of my favorite books! Due for a reread soon. 6y
ShyBookOwl One of my faves as well @rretzler ! just re-reading it now, but as a buddy read with my husband. It's been maybe 10 years 6y
scowler1 Great quote, takes me back to 1998. A band called Asian Dub Foundation had a song called Memory War that started with these words, prompting me to read the book. 5y

The book started off slow for me. I kind of find it annoying that Clary jumps into things without thinking them through. That being said, the book really started to pick up towards the middle end. There were so many references to TID which I loved. Also, Magnus reminded me a bit of Dionysus from Percy Jackson when he kept saying Simon's name wrong 😂 Can't wait to read the next and last book in this series!

BooknerdsLife Hahaa Clary always seems annoying to me 😂 but I adore Jace & love Magnus & Alec too much! Love the last book so much!!🤗💙 6y

I've been really busy with tests, but I finally got some time to read. Honestly, I'm not really enjoying this book as much as the others. Personally, I find Clary's character to be a bit annoying at times. I really love the other characters in this series though, and people have told me the book gets better.
Hopefully I'll have time to finish this book soon, and Happy Easter 🤗

When I first started reading it, I'll be honest and say I wasn't all that excited. But after reading 30 something pages, I was hooked again. Excited to read the next book!

Words cannot express how I feel about these books. I read this series a while back and decided to read it again. I usually don't reread books but this series was an exception. I absolutely loved it. I loved all the characters - Tessa, Will, Jem, Gideon, Gabriel, Sophie, Charlotte, Henry, Cecily, and even Jessamine. Can't wait to read the rest of Cassandra Clare's books : D
