Just finished a mother‘s reckoning by Sue Klebold (if you‘re interested in the Columbine case give it a read. It‘s written by one of the killers (Dylan Klebold) mothers. Now going to start this change of heart by Jodi Picoult
Going to start this. My Daughter brought it for me for Mother‘s Day ❤️
Really enjoyed this story one of Jodi Picoult‘s best. Follows Jack St bride who was a beloved teacher who was accused of sexual assault by one of his students. After spending 8 months in prison jack lands up in a place called Salem falls where he meets Addie Peabody the owner of a diner.the town finds out about jacks past and try‘s to run him out. Jack runs into more trouble when his again accused of sexual assault by teen girl‘s who are witches
Trixie stone had her heart broken by Jason underhill. So one night she went to her best friend zephyr‘s house where there was a party. Where Trixie made a plan to make Jason jealous to win him back. When the party ends all that‘s left is Trixie,Zephyr,Moss and Jason. Later that night Trixie turns up home and tells her dad she was raped by Jason. Is Trixie telling the truth or is she trying to ruin the life of the boy who broke her heart? Loved it
Absolutely loved this story. Gives you a lot to think about. Would you help someone who you love so much and who is in so much pain and feels like they have no other way out kill themselves? A definite must read
A really sad Holocaust memoir. Read it if you enjoy history and true stories
Omg absolutely loved this. Such a creepy story. If you are a fan of horror novels give this a try. You might need to sleep with the lights on
“It always comes down to just two choices. Get busy living, or get busy dying.”
Excellent read. A international team solves the mystery of who betrayed Anne frank and her family and the others who were hiding in the annex. With new technology and recently discovered documents and investigative techniques they answer the question.
.“Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing”
Going to start this today. Watched the 60 minute episode about it so thought I would pick up a copy of the book
Finished this last night. It‘s a hard subject matter to read but it is written brilliantly. Didn‘t like the character Marina thought she was a whiny irritating woman. Loved Anni and Phil and Clayton was ok too but apart from that it was a good book 4/5
“We aren‘t allowed to have any opinions. People can tell you to keep your mouth shut, but it doesn‘t stop you having your own opinion. Even if people are still very young, they shouldn‘t be prevented from saying what they think.”
Going to start this. Sounds like a hard book to read but I‘m going to anyway.
Book 3 of the Dollanganger series. This is told by Cathy‘s two son‘s Jory and Bart. I really enjoyed this book but have to admit Bart pissed me off. Never wanted to punch a character so much as I did with him
“And the most terrifying question of all may be just how much horror the human mind can stand and still maintain a wakeful, staring, unrelenting sanity”
Finished Petals on the wind last night. Now started this. Book 3 of the Dollanganger series
The Second book of the Dollanganger series. This one is more a revenge story. Some parts are difficult to read but definitely worth a read. But may not be for everyone
“I have hated words and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right.”
So doing the Goodreads challenge again this year. Decided on 19 books at the moment. Will obviously change that as it gets closer to the 19th book but that‘s what I‘m going to start with. Does anyone else do the reading challenge?
Virginia Andrews classic story flowers in the attic follows the Dollangangers. Difficult book to read but in my opinion definitely worth a read. May not be for everyone tho
Starting this today. I know people say it trashy but I absolutely adore VC Andrews books. I know most are by a ghost writer but I don‘t care I love them all. My mum got my into these so re- reading them in her memory ❤️
This is why I‘m a book person. Not a TV person #Booklover #Bookdragon #Bookworm #keepreading
“Tell my daughter Elizabeth -- no! Tell all my daughters, everywhere, in all the ages yet to come. Tell them how I died, and why. And tell them to remember this: the future is unwritten. Know your rights.”
"I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship."
“There is some good in this world, and it‘s worth fighting for.”
“Also, I‘m angry. I know life is hard, I think everyone knows that in their hearts, but why does it have to be cruel, as well? Why does it have to bite?”
