I still cannot decide how I feel about this book. I enjoyed it, then I didn‘t, then I did.

I bought this because it‘s been banned and I‘d never read it. I was never into graphic novels, but this is a wonderful, difficult, heart wrenching book.
I love this series and was lucky enough to win an advanced copy through goodreads. All four books in the Wayfarer series are wonderful. I love this one for the relationships that happen between the characters. Chambers consistently delivers a great sci-fi story with depth and they are all so heart warming.
Love love love love love!! I do not know how Lucy Ellman did this! I hate stream of consciousness books, but I cannot put it down!
This book is the perfect answer to our current situation. Madeleine Albright is my new hero!
My reading list for the rest of the week.... hopefully I can finish all three!
Perfect day to read multiple books. Beginning with Ceremony! Forecasted for another 2-4” today!
Finished my first book of the year! Wharton‘s writing is exquisite but I had a difficult time caring for the characters. #LitsyAtoZ #MountTBR @BookishMarginalia
I love this book! The contrasts and similarities between the two families. It‘s simply beautiful.
“If you have more books than shelves, consider that any shelf holding books is a bookshelf.”
Yes!! This is my life!!!
Fantastic little book.
Vox is only 326 pages. I can read 326 pages in one sitting, which is what I planned on... one sitting. It‘s taken me four days! FOUR! I had to keep putting it down. I was so angry. Everything Jean described put me into emotional turmoil. I can easily imagine a world where women are silenced, where homosexuality is punished by prison. This book is terrifying and everyone should read it. “Think about what you need to do to stay free”.
I was totally into this book until the end. So upset with the twist at the end.
Although I do not completely agree with Mr Hitchens, this book is worth reading. I only completed two books this weekend; Hitch 22 and god is not Great. I highly recommend both even if you are not of the same mindset. Expanding the mind is always a good thing. Hitch has given me much to ponder. I‘ve finished the challenge, now for sleep. #24in48
So close to finishing!!! Spending the weekend with Hitch. #24in48
Was only able to get in an hour last night before bed; but ready to make some progress today!! #24in48
I am 100 pages in and loving Eleanor!! I know nothing about this book other than what I‘ve read so far. It‘s completely wonderful
While I loved the idea of the book, Jennifer is entitled, whiny , and completely self absorbed. Neither Jennifer nor her husband really seem to learn anything, or even reflect on their financial situation. The recipes are the best part of the book.
My first #24in48 !!! Late start because of work!!! Enjoying the latest Nick Harkaway! Simon does not seem pleased to be in the photo 😹😹
Beginning first book of 2018!!! Last year I finished 57 books. The 2018 goal is 70.
I‘m only 300 pages in, but I‘m loving it.
Update: I‘ve finished and it was wonderful. Fitch does an excellent job portraying the Bolshevik Revolution.... However..... I am VERY upset that I did not know this is the first of two books! I need to know when I‘m entering into multiple books!
“To be thought of as the perfect woman for a man isn‘t a compliment to a woman, it‘s more about how a man sees himself - and what he needs.”
This is the perfect quote for my life right now
I had to read something that reminds me we once had leaders who were driven by integrity and character and the belief that all decisions should be for the good of all the people of the nation. Eleanor Roosevelt was an amazing woman. This is not the greatest writing but she is honest and straightforward. I highly recommend to anyone who needs a break from the current circus our government is putting on!!
“Quiet” was such an inspiring read. I call myself an extroverted introvert. A wonderful book that details the value of introverts.
I've been reading Sue Grafton's series since college. I started with "O" then went back and read "A" through "N". Sooooo excited to read "Y"!!!!! I've been anxiously awaiting my book and it's finally here!!!!! ?????????
Biographies about geniuses.... I cannot seem to get enough! I love them. However, this book is just terrible! I could not finish. Kanigel is just a dry, boring writer.
Easily the best book I've read this year! Read this book immediately!!
It's been forever since I've read Agatha Christie! I've forgotten how much I love her!!!
This has been on my TBR for so long! Finally getting around to it!!!
Airport reading.... 30 pages in.... feels like high school. Read while listening to Kurt in the background.
Captures the excitement of the Space Race and the huge contributions of women. It is slow in the middle.
Loving this book!Hortensia and Marion are beyond entertaining!!
Just began Pachinko. Only 65 pages in but it's very promising.
Just beginning Braiding Sweetgrass. The first few pages are so lyrical; just sweeping me away. Consider listening to audio book. Robin Wall Kimmerer narrates and her voice is amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of this book! If you love nature and being in green places, or arid places, Kimmerer will give you a whole new perspective on the natural world. Prepare to have your minds expanded!
On a Eugenides kick. Finished The Marriage Plot and about half way through this one. Love the narration! It makes me feel like I'm there but watching from above I would have finished by now but for Cisco's interruptions!!! 😺#makeroommakeroom
Reading this right now.... just about half way through! I love Jennifer!!!
I've finished this in one sitting. I'll not get over this book any time soon. If you are looking for the perfect gothic book, this is it .
