Entertaining vampire romance. There's some comedy in it, too.. and several erotic scenes.

I liked this book. Good fantasy. Main character, Daine, is a 13 year old girl. She doesn't have a specific gift of magic, but she has wild magic. There are a lot of animals in here, horses, birds, badgers, cats, as well as harpies, spidrens, gryphons, dragons. Daine is hired on as an assistant horse specialist and travels with her across the land. They encounter some danger and finally arrive. A mage starts to train her in using her wild magic.
I loved this book! It's sweet and lovely. It takes you on a vacation through Italy and had a family curse mystery to solve and a love story or two. Highly recommend!!
Bloodchild is a very good sci fi story.. Memorable!!! Humans are on another planet and have to help the species on this planet to survive. Speech Sounds is about a future Earth where no one can speak and many can't read.
Amnesty is one of the strangest sci fi pieces I've read. Noah is a translator for aliens that live in a collective and resemble bushes. They first did experiments on humans, but are now trying to live with them peacefully. +more

I loved this paranormal romance thriller! The skeptical main character, Leeds, gets more than he bargained for with Layla and Willow. What a mixed up love triangle of sorts! It made sense by the end and was an enjoyable journey.
By the end of the month, Tuesday, I am going to finish Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin,
Bloodchild and Other Stories by Octavia Butler, and
From the Heart: Eight Rules to Live By - by Robin Roberts.
Maybe more, we'll see!
I did it!!! Read-a-thon complete! I managed to read 24 hours total in the last 72 hours! My timer shows 24 hours, 23 minutes, and 30 seconds. I'm very proud of myself!
I've had retina reattachment surgery 5 years ago and cataract surgery in both eyes a few years ago and I'm very blessed to be able to see!! ❤️ I took breaks from my reading every half hour to hour.

My most anticipated book release is Under the Whispering Door by T. J. Klune, author of The House on the Cerulean Sea. It's coming out September 21. I've read the preview and it's excellent!
Also looking forward to Go Tell it to the Bees, book 9 in the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, coming out in November, but I'm only up to book 5 now.
