Getting some spooky reading in 🤓🙃
Happy Hobbit day 🤓😍 is anyone reading anything Tookish to celebrate?
Bookish Sundays 🤓 watching the BBC series of Pride and Prejudice on Netflix for the first time. Mr D'Arcy does not wish to dance
Every book of Daphne Du Maurier's I read just gets better 😍
Been trying to keep a book journal... here is my latest list. Surprised myself with how short it is. But surely it will grow!!
It's a beautiful day out ☺ I have a feeling Anne would approve.
Just finished another whodunnit. An entertaining read and not a predictable ending. Lennox is my favourite.
If you are not a fan of Robin Hobb, then you really should become one. One of the most thoughtful authors out there. Also an amazing writer.
Sunday morning with tea and jam and a re-listen to Harry Potter 🙂🤓
Newest read. This one could take a while at almost 1,000 pages. Patrick Rothfuss is amazing though 😍
"Old Bailey was not, intrinsically, one of those people put in the world to tell jokes. Despite this handicap, he persisted in telling jokes."
Come, Watson, come! he cried. The game is afoot.
"A flash of lightning illuminated the object ... more hideous than belongs to humanity, instantly informed me that it was the wretch, the filthy demon to whom I had given life"
"But my lord, there is no such force" - Wormtongue. Just Saruman being a badass. Always reread and watch Lord of the Rings at least once a year ❤
Random pick up. Never heard of this book but it had me interested. The words "classic crime" helped the sale ? pretty intriguing so far ?
Just finished this ☺ a bit slow paced for a short book but well worth the ending. Love a good murder mystery 🤓📚
Current listen. Discovered this as a recommendation by Patrick Rothfuss on Goodreads. Patrick Rothfuss I think was first described as the next Scott Lynch. Although I don't usually like those comparisons there are some similarities in writing style and mood... both authors get a huge thumbs up from me either way 😊❤👍
"A person‘s never too old for stories. Man and boy, girl and woman, we live for them." - Roland Deschain
Fell in love with this quote. Come to the end of my Dark Tower journey. Will miss this story and can't wait for the movie. I have not been this caught up in a story since the Lord of the Rings and Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings.
Getting my Halloween reading started. Wish me luck. 😨🐝🎃 #stephenking #theshining #wheresthefreezer? #fallreading #Halloweenreading
