IndoorDame @Bookwormjillk This actually does remind me a bit of Rebecca in the sense that all of the characters are unreliable, but there‘s still something about all of them that draws you into their worlds when they‘re the ones talking, and the whole place is intoxicating and bordering on fantastical. 2w

The Good House | Tananarive Due

In anticipation of a talk by author Tananarive Due at a nearby library soon, I ordered The Good House (copyright 2003) through inter-library loan, and it finally came in! I wanted to find out more about this author and try one of her books before going to the upcoming book talk, which actually is promoting a brand new book, The Reformatory. So far, I am 80 pages into The Good House, and it‘s quite well written and suspenseful!

KAO Finished reading this just in time for the author visit this week! This was mind-bending! I am not usually a fan of horror, but this was intriguing. It was a little over the top for me, but it was a good experience to read something so different. 6mo
