pickAnother great read! I found the beginning to be a bit slow for me, but once I got into it, this book really took off. The mystery, the fantasy elements, and the suspense of what was going to happen next had me roped in. There's a horribly sad scene in here, but I think it was well done. Also, there is a dog in this story. I won't say to much, but he is such a funny and strong dog. If you like books about adventure then this might be for you?

pickThis was my first graphic novel, and I found it fascinating. The graphic format made it easy to understand Haiti's very complicated, sad, and violent history. I will read more of this series.
