Pickpick

Great read! Thrilling plot, diverse characters, impressive worldbuilding. Overall, I give this book between 3.5-4 stars. It would have been a solid 4 if not for a scene in the ending, but no spoilers! I highly recommend this book to sci-fi lovers and anyone who is interested in the dark side of technology. Fans of Black Mirror, Sword Art Online, and Ready Player One may enjoy this.

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.

Having rated Jennifer Government highly twice, I was looking forward to Machine Man. What started out as a 4-star read for me, ended up a 2. The first (almost-)half was darkly funny and clever. Then, it just plodded on, becoming more and more ridiculous with no real progress or development. It was a chore to finish.

Addison_Reads I love Jennifer Government 💚 5y

Wellreadhead @Dwayne_Shugert This graphic was made on Goodreads. I also use an app called Bookly to keep track of my reading, it allows you to keep notes, track reading time, and even has ambient background noises if you need them. 6y
Dwayne_Shugert I thought it was Goodreads...but I can‘t seem to find how to do that. And I will look into Bookly as well. Thanks... 6y
SmartSassery This is really cool. 6y
jjmcgaffey The graphic is at https://www.goodreads.com/user/year_in_books/2018/ (once you're there, there's links to move by year, or edit the URL). Unfortunately since I _don't_ track on Goodreads (though I have an account), mine is essentially blank - I track on LibraryThing, but there's no clever graphics there. 6y
