OK I know this book looks too soft and sweet for this prompt. (We do know I‘m a big softie though right?😂) But this is the book I‘m giving my young teen to show her one of the ways in which there are #toomanycreeps in the world. This book does a great job of showing up the “seemingly nice guy”. Who is not what he seems.

I guess I‘m going to be that mother that gives dates a hard time aren‘t I?!! 😳

Creepy af. You will never look at a suitcase the same way again.

This wasn‘t an easy or satisfying read, but I think that‘s appropriate, given the content. It made me angry and distressed, as it should. I liked that the protagonist wasn‘t a ‘good‘ or even particularly likeable character. I appreciated that the wrongdoers weren‘t overtly evil, but recognisable, ‘good boys who got carried away‘. We have so much work to do. I look forward to more by Louise O‘Neill.
