This is an interesting book with a first person POV in which the narrator is telling someone else‘s story, serving as a proxy for the reader and pulling us closer to the narrative. The entire story is interesting, with some questionable decisions by the speaker, and closes with a bang that upends everything. I found this really thought-provoking. #toblonglist2023

Chelsea.Poole I‘m currently reading this. I‘ve read several reviews referring to a reveal/significant ending so I‘m speculating about what that could be! 2y
Aimeesue I enjoyed this one. Quite an ending! 2y
Cinfhen I read this book in August and I honestly don‘t remember the ending 🙄 2y
Hooked_on_books @Cinfhen In the very last sentence, he reveals that Francis didn‘t die of a heart attack on the ski slope but of injuries sustained from running into another skier. Which makes me wonder how much Jeff fabricated in the story he told. It really casts the entire narrative in a different light. 2y
Ruthiella I‘m definitely going to read this one, even if it doesn‘t make the shortlist. It sounds intriguing! 2y
BarbaraBB Great review, glad you liked it too. The ending was 🤯 (edited) 2y
squirrelbrain I have this one on Scribd Audio - I‘m really looking forward to it; I hope it works as well on audio. 2y
Cinfhen Ohhhhh, right!!! Yes. It‘s one of those unreliable narrator stories. This one isn‘t amongst my favorites from the list. 2y
