What a crazy story in the best way. The fact that it was loosely based on a true story had me down the rabbit hole for all the details. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just arrived today 😍 my toxic trait is immediately wanting to abandon my current read for these. One book at a time I guess *kicks wall*
I couldn‘t resist! The book was a poetry collection by a new-to-me author, Thomas Curtis Clark.

I spent the day reading yesterday and finished this. There were some parts I struggled with (abuse), but overall, I found it really engaging. I don't know who gifted me this book (It didn't have a name) but #ThankYou for it!

• This was an emotional read but lacked the punch to make it a true gut punch. It was good but lacked something that could‘ve made it great; so I liked it a lot but didn't quite love it. Ask For Andrea is still my fav, although this one is probably my second favorite by this author.
• Will Damron & Megan Tusing both give good performances.
I know this is not a series, but I really love this book. It's the best one I read this month. #SeriesChallenge @maich
Lauren James‘s standalone YA thriller is very strong on fame, fandoms and toxic fan behaviour but the murder aspect was under-powered for me with the villain too easy to guess and a final twist that didn‘t ring true. At the same time, Delilah‘s backstory was too busy and a sub-plot involving her best friend Nida feeling superfluous. That said, it is a fast-paced read and James has something to say so I would check out her next book.
I enjoy the underwater investigation unit series so I thought I‘d try a new series by this author.
I love this one even more. I need to go back and read book one in November!!
Brad Trasker is a gruff & scary retired spy who‘s currently the head of security at an aerospace facility where a breach has occurred involving a top secret engine design.
Publication day is 10/29/24.
