Silver on the Tree by Susan Cooper is the last book in the 'Dark is Rising' sequence. I loved this series and have read it so many times, both as a child and as an adult.

Nicely written exciting middle grade or so tale of Arthurian returns, missing grails, and a mysterious great uncle with an interesting name.

I had this book marked as already read but I have no memory of it at all, just of the not so good movie I saw years ago.

I just love this series of vintage children‘s fantasy books. The Midwinter setting is no vivid, and this is our first introduction to Will Stanton.
