Rovelli is an Italian theoretical physicist and a great writer.. this is my third book of his, and I loved it the most! And we're talking about a book on White Holes, which are completely theoretical and have never been observed and so are based only on mathematical calculations (the same calculations that describe Black Holes).
Maybe it is the continuous reference to Dante Alighieri, but I think this is Rovelli's most poetic work.

AnnCrystal White Holes! Just looked that up, quite fascinating 😉👍. 11mo

I finished The Scarlett Letter early this morning and I've just started White Holes by Carlo Rovelli.. I was listening to the audiobook in the afternoon, doing some chores around the house.

Musical Offering | Luis Sagasti

The book explores the human relationships to the music, what music can offer in the different situations. The story of music is told through anecdotes, snippets of history from all the around the world, and without classic narrator. Some parts/sentences are beautiful written, but story as a whole was too fragmented and experimental for me. #Booked2021 - musical instrument on cover

Simona @Cinfhen The thing with this book is that I do think that it is extremely good written and that it is extremely well executed, but unfortunately experimental writing style isn‘t my favourite ... 🤷🏻‍♀️ I opt out for the prizes, but thank you for remanding me😘 3y
Cinfhen You‘re so sweet for opting out… but you won years ago xx feel free to change your mind 3y

“A book, too, can be a star, explosive material, capable of stirring up fresh life endlessly, a living fire to lighten the darkness, leading out into the expanding universe.”

This book opened my eyes to the idea of time travel,& wider universes beyond the Earth.I loved the word “tesseract”its meaning & implications.I devoured all her books, her memoirs, all she wrote. I wanted to know this author & her work.

BookmarkTavern I love this book too! ❤️❤️ Meg was a very formative character for me when I was young. 5y

My favorite children's book isn't in the horror genre, but it's the first book that gave me the titillation that comes with being so scared, but wanting, NEEDING to keep turning the pages. So began my love affair with the macabre. I still love that feeling. And I still get a little shiver down my spine when I think about that disembodied brain on Camazozt. #riotgrams #favoritechildrensbook #itwasadarkandstormynight #tesseract
