Not all teddy bear stories were written for children. Please use the link to read my review of this unusual book.

The Lonely Doll | Dare Wright

#ToyCover #NewYearNewBook @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Eggs When I read My Ideal Bookshelf last week, I was charmed to see how many artists had a checkered spine from this Dare Wright series on their shelves. I know The Lonely Doll and Little Bear insinuated themselves into my imagination, but seeing how ubiquitous they were when I thought of this book as obscure was really cool.

Eggs It‘s lovely and quaint ❤️🤩👌🏼 10mo

“Oh mommy!“ She said. “Look!“ There's the very bear I've always wanted.“

The moment the little girl comes into the toy store with her mother and makes eye contact with the teddy bear I knew they would be connected with each other.

Pickpick

Corduroy is a classic novel. This adorable heartwarming story that all children should be exposed to in their life time. The illustrations are incredible and beautifully colored. The illustrations are in more of a sketch like drawings and the colors used in the illustrations are calm and inviting. The images on the pages don't take up the whole page but are detailed enough that you don't even need to read the words.

My parents and older siblings read to me. (I‘m 15, 17 & 19 years younger than my siblings) One of my earliest memories is of my mom reading Corduroy to me. It‘s still my favorite picture book.

BookmarkTavern A charming pick! Thanks for posting! 2y
SamAnne I was the last kid with big age gaps with my other siblings. I was read to all the time! I was lucky that way. 2y
