I mean... I love #research as much as the next gal...but sifting through so much chaff can get old, at home on a #quarantine day...
😭😅🤪

julesG Not just on a quarantine day. 😑 5y
MargaretPinardAuthor True @julesG my eyes do tend to skim over parentheticals and percentages even on a good day... 🤷🏽‍♀️😝 5y

????????!!! I bet Journey would be proud of this spark of genius. But for those folks--*clears throats* millenials--who don't get the reference, they'll be thinking, "Believing in what? Don't stop believing in WHAT?!" ?... ???

kaykay521 Hey now!! I'm a millennial and I definitely get it! 😉. Just a small town girl livin in a lonely world. 😍 8y
Mariposa_Bookworm I'm proud to say I've raised a millennial who totally gets the reference. (Pats self on back) 8y
Sharpeipup Perhaps the message is don't stop believing in ... signs? 🤓 8y

mom2bugnbee My 14yo knows every word to this song. When I asked her how, she said that it's still quite popular. I was very surprised, since I was around her age when it first came out! 😀 8y
brennareadsbooks ?? A little surprised that you think millennials wouldn't get it? I'm a millennial and everyone I know knows all the words? Not exactly an unknown song, considering the number of plays it gets on standard radio stations? Anyway, a fun sign! 8y
mcctrish Pretty sure most Michigan-ites know all about Journey ( especially the small town girls @kaykay521 going any wheeeerrrreeee) millennial or not 😂 8y
Hooked_on_books They know it because it was on Glee. (I didn't watch Glee. I heard the song from the soundtrack on the radio.) 8y
MrBook @kaykay521 @Mariposa_Bookworm @mom2bugnbee @brennareadsbooks @mcctrish @Hooked_on_books Oh yeeeaaahhh, Glee 😁! Well, I'm an 80s & 90s child, so to some I count as a millennial. And most of my peers don't know the song or the band. And all of my younger siblings give me the O_o look 😂. I've been watching YouTube videos where they ask K-12 & college kids about the 70s-90s, and most of them are completely baffled 😆. Y'all raise yours right! 😎🙌🏻 8y
MrBook @Sharpeipup 😂👏🏻🙌🏻 8y
Laalaleighh Millenials loooooove this song. Go to any college town and play this at the bar and watch every single person there freak out and start singing at the top of our lungs! Seriously. I have this on video at least three times!! 8y
Laalaleighh This and, if you are in the south, wagon wheel. 8y
MemoirsForMe Love it! 😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 8y
MrBook @kaykay521 @Mariposa_Bookworm @mom2bugnbee @brennareadsbooks @mcctrish @Hooked_on_books @Laalaleighh Okaay, okaay 😂😂👏🏻👏🏻, many millenials in the NorthEast (because I'm familiar with New England and the Mid-Atlantic). None who watch Glee, and none on Litsy because Litsyans are the darn best 😎👌🏻🙌🏻! 😂👏🏻 (edited) 8y
MrBook @UwannaPublishme 😁👏🏻 8y
mcipher That's my cat's song!!! 😻 😹 8y
MrBook @mcipher 😂👏🏻🙌🏻! 8y
youngreadrshelf I just spent my evening at a symphony concert where they only played Journey songs. It was sold out. 8y
Merethebookgal Funny, I was just talking about the generational grouping w/ a few different people & Millenials are those born anywhere from the late 70's to the mid 90's, dunno why it's such a large span! But, yeah, I agree with everyone else that I feel like the majority of us would get the reference. Now, generation Z might be a different story. I feel like people use the term "millennial" to mean really young people, & most of us aren't that young anymore ? 8y
mcipher My husband and I saw Journey a few years ago and I still have the tickets hanging up. It was a bucket list thing and an awesome experience! 8y
mom2bugnbee I thought that Millennials are those who are in their childhood/teenage years right around 2000. Is that not correct? I'm definitely a Gen X-er & a child of the 80's & my kids are, I think, considered Generation Digital (though my 14yo is also a 9/11 baby). #tangent #blameMrBook 8y
MrBook @youngreadrshelf That is amazingly cool! I want to see 2 Cellos and The Piano Guys perform 😁👏🏻👏🏻! @Merethebookgal You know, I don't think demographers even know at this point 😂👏🏻🙌🏻! I'm on the supposed cusp of everything. I'm Gen X, Y, & Millenial. All I know is, I'm a whole lot of lovin' all rolled up 😎👍🏻. @mcipher Very lucky 😁👏🏻! Got to see Jerry Lee Lewis perform in AC! If we stuck around 1 more night, we could've seen Haggard. 8y
MrBook @mom2bugnbee 😂 The concoction makers are still trying to separate things out apparently 😊👍🏻. It's an interesting question though, and an important one, and even the experts are still scratching their heads. Traditionally it's an every-25-years thing, but that seems to have gone by the wayside for event-related moments like 1969 or Reagan's inauguration/MTV's inception or 9/11. Mind-boggling. 8y
dariazeoli There was a stop sign in my old neighborhood with the same sentiment. It's since been replaced. Guess they couldn't.... hold on to that feeling 😏 (edited) 8y
Born.A.Reader Love Journey!! I was raised on oldies until I was about 13, so I know a great deal more songs from those era than most of my peers. 😊😊🎶🎵🎤🎸 8y
Nonaroo 😂😂 Annnd now that song will be in my head all day, but that's a good thing! 8y
LibrarianJen I'm late to the party, it it looks like you got a good millennial beating! I'm an in-betweener, born in 83. I don't fit in with X or later millennials. I do know my music though. Not only was I raised on my parents music, but I was raised on my grandmothers music as well. My daughter seems to like what I call bar music with southern gospel and my son loves jazz like Vince Guaraldi mixed with Ella F. and Miles Davis. Music, transcends time. 8y
MrBook @dariazeoli 😂😂😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻!!! @Born.A.Reader Niiiice 😎🙌🏻!! @Nonaroo Well, don't stop singing 😉👍🏻! @LibrarianJen 😂👏🏻! Niiiiiiice! Indeed it does, hence Beethoven still being performed almost 200 years later 😁! 8y
BookBabe 😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 8y
