pickI loved this book. It's really like high fantasy but with vampires instead of evil wizards or dragons. Gabriel de Leon is the last of the legendary Silver Saints knights with vampire blood sworn to slay the undead. Currently though he is in a vampire prison cell awaiting his own death and telling his tale to a vampire historian 🖤

pickI remember hearing in a creative writing class 100 yrs ago how a story is only as strong as its antagonist, and truly great heroes and villains tend to be a good bit of both. I so agree! In BC, one of the good guys is an insufferable snob, and the bad guys show up with an endearing sense of humor... so good and bad get all deliciously blurry by the end.
