After Death | Dean Koontz

I haven't read Koontz in several years, though he's been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. Pulled this one from the stacks at the library recently, and dove in head first without any idea what it would be about. It was bizarre, but it was really good too. To that point, I'm not sure I've ever really read anything by him that wasn't.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Edited to add: The banter between Aleem and Kuba was amazing!!!

How awful! 😐🫣😱

Safe to assume none of my fellow Litsy family would do such a vile thing. 😝

wanderinglynn No, no, no! That library would be my nightmare. 😱 1mo

(The Liar) First book in a trilogy. It‘s more like a suspense story. This man, Alex, sees an unknown man next to him..but is that man dead? Then he sees a stone in his own hand.., with blood...did he kill that man?...but he is not sure about anything because he wake up in a hospital and he doesn‘t remember anything. Fragments of memories come and go. And then, the story goes to discover what really happened, who is Alex⬇️

Gissy (Cont.) The story has some twists but some of them are quite predictable. In general I found it enjoyable, a little too long but kept my attention. 3.7/3.8⭐️

This story was full of twists and turns. Daria was a very strong, independent woman. But she wasn‘t afraid to be feminine. She made for a very good heroine.
I received this book from Celebrate-Lit for my honest review.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it (some I‘ve had so long I don‘t even remember why!). Feel free to join in!

Always a fun ride, Koontz novels are simple and quick to read. No monsters in this one which is unusual, but enough suspense to make it a good story.

Picked up this lil pulp “mystery” published back in the 70‘s at the Brooklyn Book Festival. A quick read that felt a bit confused but very dramatic. 2nd physical book complete this month - I have 3 audiobooks teed up for the rest of this week.
