This book was seriously so cute, all of the stories were well-written, cute, diverse, and a great read. I love when google helps me find #similarbooks to read bc that's a big way I also fill my #tbr #readingresolutions #challengecatchup
A friend lent me The Distant Hours after she read The Thirteenth Tale on my recommendation—she told me she wanted me to see how similar they were. She was absolutely right! An outsider is invited into an old family house, unearthing family secrets and tragedies of the past... both books even have a mysterious set of twins. I enjoyed The Thirteenth Tale more, but that might be because I read it first! #similarbooks #readingresolutions
My meager Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition collection. Must get more! I love them! #similarbooks #readingresolutions @Jess7
Challenge | Day 15
Has anyone else noticed a certain resemblance between two characters with dark powers?

For #similarbooks I chose some weird fiction that I love (not pictured: The Hike by Drew Magary) and to go with my weird fiction collection, here‘s an onion jar thing that is particularly weird. 😂

Here are two pairs of #similarbooks that I recommend. If you liked The Hate U Give, then please read Dear Martin. It's similar, and it also deserves a wide audience! Dreamland Burning is historical fiction and The Killers of the Flower Moon is nonfiction but they are both about historical events in Oklahoma that I had never heard of before. And all four of these are about injustice. #ReadingResolutions @Jess7
So these are actually the two books I wanted to use for my #ReadingResolutions #SimilarBooks post but couldn‘t since I didn‘t own a copy of The Godfather until 45mins ago; so please forgive my second post for this challenge😬
#ReadingResolutions #SimilarBooks ?In my review of "Only Child" I mentioned that it reminded me of "Room. " Although they are about different subjects, they have similarities-both stories are told from the perspective of young boys (Jack who's 5 & Zach who's 6--hey, their names even sound similar!) both are by female authors, both books feature a horrific subject, making them tough to read but ultimately hopeful, & both books are very good. ?❤️
This is an sample of my stream-of-consciousness book shelving system: in my mind, theses books belong beside one another as #similarbooks and I particularly like them in this order! I can't be the only one, can I?
