This was a sweet and emotional second chance romance that didn‘t shy away from the hard work needed to make love work between complicated and wounded people. This book was full of heart and hope.
This was a solid contemporary romance. About 2/3 through this was just a middle of the road, “fine” romance. Entertaining enough, but nothing stood out. However, the third act was incredibly mature and well written. Adults actually talking to each other! Who knew how satisfying that could be (sarcastic tone here)? 4⭐️
This started so confusing and after the first 5 chapters I gave up… not used to doing this so idk what to do … sucks
Took a little time away from work to see tagged book author this afternoon with @JenReadsAlot and @peaKnit - highlight of my day...
"Lily Wilder's boots crunched through smooth gravel as she made her way from the barn to the lodge, surveying her favorite place on earth."

Eh, this was just okay. I liked that he was the sunshine and she was the grump…. But there was a bit of a plot hole/problem at the beginning that I never truly forgave if I‘m being honest.
Listening to A Forty Year kiss to prep for the author‘s visit to our library next month mostly because, gah, love the author. Meanwhile while walking in 90 degree heat in WI, I heard his great and cozy description of “toasty”. Auspicious! 🥵 I‘m toasty but NOT cozy. lol
