I wasn't sure this one could be cuter than the first book but I was proven wrong!

I loved that it had a similar theme to the first book, in regards to discovery of self worth and friendship. A great read and the images are just as beautiful, detailed, and rich in color. Easy to read and follow along for young readers, or any age readers since I'm definitely older than the demographic for this one 😂

Mehso-so

Some young boys on a soccer team in Thailand were stranded in a cave in 2018 while exploring with their coach. The country and people from across the world came together to save them. Obviously, the rescue was incredible and it‘s a wonderful true story, but the book is written in a way that made it drag even though it was short.

Texreader What a shame! I watched this story unfold with such dread and so happy they were rescued 4mo
AvidReader25 @Texreader It‘s not a bad book! Just maybe for a YA audience and not well paced. 4mo

Your basic disaster story. A plane goes down in the ocean, trapping some survivors 200 feet under water. A rescue plan gets underway. Plenty of cliches and dramatic moments. Would probably be good as a movie. Entertaining enough.

I just read the last of Newman‘s disaster stories and couldn‘t resist looping back for the 2nd installment. This was a fun ride, too, with all the characters one needs for a good disaster story. It‘s like ohhhh, this one‘s the ass. This one‘s not gonna make it to the end. This is the outsider that knows just how to save the day. You gotta have ‘em🤣

bthegood I love your summary of the characters needed for a disaster story - it is perfect!! 🙂 5mo
marleed @bthegood I mean, it would be so disappointing if they were missing 🤣🤣 5mo
