These are my Top 17 historical romances for 2024! I will happily gush about any of them if you want.😍📚⭐️

MeganAnn Love seeing them all together like this! Do have a top one or two you would recommend? I don‘t think I‘ve read ANY of these and I love historical romance! 2d
Leelee08 @MeganAnn Hmm. If I had to pick a top two, I‘d go with Hotel of Secrets and You Should Be So Lucky.😍😍😍 2d
MeganAnn @Leelee08 thank you! Hotel of Secrets was already on my radar as one I should read so that‘s good. I enjoyed the author‘s debut novel (tagged) when I read it earlier this year. Haven‘t read anything by Cat Sebastian yet so adding that to my TBR too. 🎉 2d
Leelee08 @MeganAnn Yay! I can‘t wait to hear what you think!😍 2d

It's going to be a very busy day, so I'm up early, enjoying a bit of quiet while I can, and rereading a short romance from a Christmas book that was originally my mom's. 🎄
(I couldn't find this book in the database so I choose one with several of the same authors)

Finished this a while ago with the #littensloveromance group. I enjoyed it immensely. Very character-driven, which I don't mind, but I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and something to happen to ruin their idyllic holiday, which never really did. Solid found family vibes, looking forward to the next Earl's story when it comes out next May.

CarolynM @Amiable @RaeLovesToRead He‘s very old (20 years) and arthritic which means he‘s pretty scruffy these days, so I don‘t think I will kiss him 🥴 1mo
CarolynM @rubyslippersreads I don‘t think he did approve, he kept trying to bite me while I took the photo😆 1mo
CarolynM @Freespirit 👋 Hi Sally. One of my book group friends is a big fan and is drip feeding me her copies from her teenage years🥰 Heyer‘s mysteries are also fun if you‘re not fond of romance. 1mo

Read this regency romcom for book club and it was cute! I really liked the strong characterization in the beginning, and the plot was fun and silly, but other than that it didn‘t do a whole lot for me. Some language/perspectives seemed a bit too modern for the time period, and it got a little too meta with the tropes in places (like one character saying out loud “we‘re like a found family!”) I could be persuaded to read the next book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything I read in September minus Hi Honey, I‘m Homo by Matt Baume (cover not findable by the app and where would I have placed it?!) 17 books YOWZA

Frederica is my favorite with The Husbands a close second. I gave Tiger Eyes lots of stars, too but just couldn‘t get into the movie 🎥 😢

October is going a tad slower. #Sep2024 Litflu 43k

4 ⭐ I almost DNFed this book multiple times. There were times when it came to the map making shop, that things just didn‘t historically fit right with me based on all of other historical romance I have read in the past. And I don‘t know why I kept going back to it, but I did. I‘m glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed this book once I got over whatever problem I had in the beginning. This is a typical historical romance. It‘s trophy, it‘s expected,
