pickAnother very enjoyable book from the DS Alex Culpidi series set in Dungeness. When a body is found in the freezer of a property on the market for sale, a chain links it to the development of land for new houses, which houses badger setts and local wildlife. The subsequent investigation touches on local mp's , businessmen, and environmental campaigning. Really good series, and I plan to read the next one soon.
Other page from the previous picture. I find that these are important stats to share since I don‘t think k that most anybody knows how our prisons are funded. My new fear after reading this book is that the current state is that people will be so desperate they will commit crimes & be put in jail. Which since most prisons are private, someone is making money off of people being in jail.

pickThis is a true story of corruption within the Baltimore Police Dept. When reading this, I can‘t say that I was really surprised. But, part of me wondered how a division could get away with so much…the lack of real oversight that was in place was ridiculous!
