So many teary moments during this one. See so many of my husband's struggles, my struggles, and our struggles, boldly on display throughout this memoir. Amazing how experiences can be so similar and yet so different. This is a beautiful book - I encourage everyone to take the time to read it.

bookdrunkard78 @mcipher What's worse, her grandfather was Amon Goeth, one of the worst. The story of how she found out is fascinating. For context, if you've seen Schindler's List, he's the one played by Ralph Fiennes. 8y

mcipher I haven't seen it, I suck at movies!! I'm thinking I might read this - out of my comfort zone but definitely sounds worth it. 8y

Cortg I never know who anyone is. It's like I really do live in a bubble but I think I enjoy books better when I don't know they are famous and learn about them through text. 8y
