Missusb The MC‘s parents have died, and there‘s v little exploration of how this affects him. He gets sent to live with his uncle and the idea of magic takes precedence. Also, the exposition happens when he overheard conversations. He‘s rarely involved. He is described as a fat boy and is dreadfully bullied about that.
