When your semi reformed conman starts to get bored, it‘s time to shake up his enrichment program. Vetinari‘s choice? Put Moist in charge of the bank & the royal mint.

The Moist books never fail to make me smile. A fascinating examination of how humanity assigns value, a scathing indictment of old money & “that‘s how it‘s done.” I do feel I was more aware & critical of the language used to describe the Lavishes. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

While the world enters its Rats Fighting In A Sack publically era, I am getting back into my favourite Litsy challenges and buddy reads to try and cope.

First up is a re read of Making Money for #OokBookClub with @julesG (discussion starts 7th March).

Also my second time reading The Stand for the #LosersClub with @BarkingMadRead
I first read The Stand in February 2020 so I'm forming a habit of turning to it in, ahem, "interesting times"

Sipping ☕️ , & noshing 🍩 Once I‘m caffeinated & fed I‘ll be browsing ravelry projects for the yarn I don‘t need that I bought in support of Joann Fabrics. Then it‘s grab the cat to lounge on the couch for a day filled with audiobooking between The Stand & Monstrous Regiment.

Catching up on belated reviews… I read this back in December for the #OokBOokClub. I loved Pratchett‘s take on journalism, as William deWorde accidentally invents the first newspaper in Ankh-Morpork. The story brings up questions of what the truth is, how it‘s told, how that telling shapes people‘s perceptions, who tries to suppress that telling & why… there‘s so much here that‘s still alarmingly relevant. And I loved Otto!

While I was searching for Discworld themed knit or crochet projects I came across a cute Great A‘tuin amigurumi pattern. I don‘t know anything about amigurumi yet. I have a beginner project sitting in the frog pond waiting for me to attempt again.
