The concept of this book was very interesting. I also found myself CRAVING noodles every time I picked up this book. The history was interesting and the stories of the people she met along the way were fascinating. I enjoyed this book for a light read that was filled with historical significance.

I‘m be been obsessed with trying to make homemade pork dumplings. This book looked like a good place to start. Has anyone tried any of the recipes or know of a better one?

Tamra I‘ve paged through the book and the recipes look so yummy! I wish I could try whatever you come up. 😋 3y

Another true story that my students loved. I don't think they will ever forget what inspired Momofuku Ando to invent instant ramen. It took 10 years and he never gave up! He believed that world peace could be reached by filling stomachs. I know instant ramen is not the healthiest food, but I have a new appreciation for it after reading this. #kidlit #readoutloud #everybodybooks

MySharonaK Sounds so lovely! What ages would you say the book is for? 4y
TEArificbooks My son asked me who invented Cup O Noodle and we watched a documentary on YouTube about it. I want to go the museum in Japan sometime, you can make your own cup of ramen. You get to pick the seasoning, veggies, meat, etc that goes in your cup. 4y
mandarchy @MySharonaK I read it to Kindergarten through 5th grade. It's an everybody book. The reading level is AR 3.3 or lexile 600 4y

mandarchy @mdm139 I think there are 2 museums in Japan. I saw the YouTube videos too. If I had more time with the students I would have shared, but I sent them the links. I think they all went home and ate ramen. 4y
MySharonaK @mandarchy ah wonderful thank you! 😍 4y
ShelleyBooksie @DinoMom - we will have to check this book out.for our kiddos! 4y
mandarchy @ShelleyBooksie and @DinoMom make sure to have some ramen on hand, you will get hungry. 4y
DinoMom @mandarchy in this house there is always ramen! My 5 year old is ramen obsessed 🍜 ❤️ 4y
mandarchy @DinoMom in that case, did you see that Target has Ramen shirts? I'm not sure they have his size. They had them in the young men's section. I was there yesterday stupidly Easter shopping. 🐣 my son only eats macaroni. 4y

We love pho and finally landed on a recipe from Pinterest that hits all the right notes! This cookbook assured me that we are doing the right things, and offered plenty of inspiration for a “someday” trip to Vietnam. ❤️

Butterfinger That is a wonderful goal. I want to see those huge caverns that were discovered about 15 years ago. I first read about them in the Smithsonian Magazine. I was obsessed with them. I'm going to look for a book about them right now. 4y

1. Movement: 10 out of 24 days
2. Books: goal 4, finished 7
3. Declutter: 1 day
I'm also proud of eating takeout no more than 2 days/week! Hope to continue this in Feb.

February: increase movement - 15 out of 28 days.
Books - same, dropping declutter to focus on moving. Track meals eaten at home vs. out.
