Canada's bird is the loon, but I don't have a photo of one so here's the Canada goose. They are assholes and I warn you to keep your distance if you ever encounter them. They're nice to look at from afar though.

The Sparrow: A Novel | Mary Doria Russell

One classic Sparrow for #NationalBirdDay. An interesting science fiction story from 1996, but a bit long winded at times. However I did enjoy the story and also read the sequel, Children of God.
