Reportes who were main characters in this story felt interesting. At the beginning they talked about their childhoods and that gave them some depth.

The setting was an abandoded church and that could have been amazing (scary!) setting. Descriptions were non-existent so there is that :( Everythings was over before you were immersed into the story.

I enjoed as long as this lasted but I think this could have offered so much more.

Just finished watching season 2 - was hooked just as throughly! This season featured an actor who was in a show I watched growing up so it did hurt a little to see him play a baddie.

Reading the book synopsis makes me think that storylines were blended - if anyone has read it - I am curious about the fate of Twist. Unfortunately it hasn‘t got enough traction online for someone to have written one of those handy book vs show articles.

Lauredhel oh, I forgot about this show! Season 2 is on iView? 2d

Another great thriller from McFadden that I read in a day! I really do love her books. If you‘ve liked her previous books you will like this one too!! This would make a great movie or mini series. I‘m eager to read the remaining McFadden‘s on my shelf!

So I started this book a year & a half ago & then put it down but I always remembered where I was in the story so this holiday break I picked it up to finish it & I‘m glad I did! It‘s interesting to have a mother-daughter relationship at the core of the thriller. I thought it did a good job balancing between the 2 narrators & what happened in the past & present & the twists along the way! I highly recommend this one!

Book 2 read on September 2024

I have mixed feelings with this novel. Six classmates were invited for a dinner in honor to receive a scholarship. But then they are trapped in this place with three objects and a message indicating to pick someone to die.

I liked the premise and all the action in that closed room and I liked the ending. Sad the motive behind the action, sad that ending. But what I question is how everything was planned.⬇️

Gissy (Cont.) Even when this part was explained, I don‘t know how realistic it is. But so sad that crime motive. 3/3.5⭐️There is an important author‘s note at the end of the novel. 7d

I really enjoyed this book. Glad I‘ve read her books featuring Cormac . They are very good. I read 2 of her stand alones and did not like them. May not have read her again. Hoping there are more than 3 in this series. Cormac is an Irish detective with a love interest Emma. He is an honest man who looks like he will be overcome by corruption around him. A very well written read.
