I‘m not going to finish this. The writing is amazing and the descriptions just wonderful. However I find myself really having to concentrate to read it. Set me wondering if these great authors of fine literature will get read in the future. I heard that at an uni in the US literature students couldn‘t even read a whole book. So used to just reading a chapter to critique from high school. Never a whole book. 🤷🏻‍♂️. 🥲

The great thing about the book sale , lovely old Iris Murdoch was priced $3 , I got it on half price day for $1.50!

This was a wonderful reread for me (even though I did confuse something that obviously happens in another book with this one 😀). I don't suppose Iris will be everyone's cup of tea, but I was once again impressed by her ability to convey in such detail people's emotional states, thoughts, motivations, blunderings... It's very much about love and grief and loving people that don't love us back but not told in a giddy, romantic way. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm doing some rereading these days. Got some walking and reading in at the park (not at the same time 🤪) while my girls played (in cut grass, getting terribly dirty).

Very exciting discoveries on my morning walk. The LFL I got them from has been renovated over our lockdown & now most of us 🇦🇺 are vaccinated x2 the launch party is tonight. I can‘t go as my 1st ballet exam in 24 years is tomorrow. Please send me some graceful & yet quick thinking vibes at 12 o‘clock tomorrow Australian Eastern Standard time. I‘m excited that it will finally be over and that Stew is taking me out to dinner & to see Dune after!

My holiday books are almost entirely ebooks and audiobooks, but the cover of my current audiobook and the cover of my most recent physical purchase fit the red and green prompt. Really excited for the new Brené Brown, but I‘m not sure if I‘ll get to it this month.
