First book finished for #WinterGames2024 though not a festive one but an TBR from last month. Another great read in the series, Tempe is always getting herself in trouble but i love the way her brain finally puts it together. 4*

Myron, a "sports agent" who never seems to actually work, investigates a double murder when one of his clients, who was believed to be dead himself, is accused. I hated the audio reading (especially wanted to tear out my earbuds whenever Myron's parents are speaking), and the whiny drama caused by Myron's ex and their lovechild is pretty annoying. But the possible serial killer mystery was good enough to get me through.

I really enjoyed this latest installment in the Temperance Brennan series. Perhaps because I usually listen to them and tend to drift, I felt more focused with this one and it helped keep me tied to the story. It was a good one.

First finish for #hauntedshelf

Sorry I'm late with my planned #tbr for #hauntedshelf. I know I'll read more than these 4, but they are my for sure picks for this month (should finish Bones today and am about 350 pages into The Stand already). Happy Spooky Season! 👻

This novel had lots of twists and many turns. I had a little trouble figuring out the plots and where the characters fit in for the first couple of chapters. The layers were waiting for the reader to catch up. Then things were starting to make sense. I was surprised by some of the layers and certainly didn‘t expect the ending. This was my first novel by Margolin and I will read more of his work. 4.25/5

The title of this book is quite appropriate for Jane Effing Smith. She is actually really hard to kill. Jane faces many struggles and obstacles in this book but she never lets any of them get her down. I absolutely love her character and I hope there will be many more books.
My overall rating of this book is 4.5 stars. Thank you so much to the publisher for the advance copy of this novel via NetGalley as part of the James Patterson Street Team!

I used to love Michael Bennet series. But, seems its getting boring nowadays. There are certain storyline that can actually be finished in less than 100 chapters.

Kendra and Adam are pulled into a new case when a serial killer reappears after 15 years and the daughter‘s of one of his victims disappear. More straightforward investigating and less reliance on Kendra‘s sensory superpowers. When are directed clandestine activities a cover for evil? No big surprises, but always satisfaction that there is some justice. Fast paced and expectations met. 3/5⭐️
