I usually read sci-fi in the summer, but I wasn‘t able to make it to this book before the semester started so it‘s going on the TBR for December‘s #WinterGames2024. 😄

For comfort, I recently reread the entire Murderbot series.
I finished the last book and wanted to immediately start the first one over.
“I closed the story by reflex, like that would make it not exist. After three seconds of shock, I made myself open it again.“
“Disinformation, which is the same as lying but for some reason has a different name, is the top tactic in corporate negotiation/warfare.“
#ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 October #TBRTarot (“Choose a book… that is less than 200 pages”) Murderbot is one of the best characters ever created. I think this series is excellent.
#ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 (another) October #TBRTarot “Choose a Book… that is less than 200 pages.” I‘m really enjoying this series. And I can sooo identify with Murderbot. He wants to have as little to do with humans as possible and all he wants to do is watch his soap operas. I just want to hang out with my kitties and listen to audiobooks. Recommended.
This is the 3rd book in the Murderbot Diaries series. While they are short books, there is a lot packed into them, both in action and lessons. I really enjoyed the character of Miki and how 'she' affected Murderbot, given the differences in personalities, roles and how they were treated by humans. While the first one in the series is still my favorite, I will continue reading them as I am enjoying Murderbot's adventures and growth. 4/5 stars
Murderbot, ART, ART‘s crew, and the team from Preservation are still on the planet that caused so many problems in Network Effect but with a different mission: getting the inhabitants to side with them against the corporate rim group wanting to mine the planet for resources. The colonists threw a wrench in the plans when they revealed there was a third settlement that had been isolated for 30 years. The race is on to beat Barish-Estranza to them.
I want to take the time to let everyone know that I am a huge science fiction lover. I love anything sci-fi. I have enjoyed many classics like Drowned World as well as movies such as Interstellar and Alien Romulus, and even videogames like Stray. I am longtime Trekkie and Star Wars fan and out of every single sci-fi story and character I have enjoyed. This franchise is by far the best science fiction story I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying.
Murderbot #4. This was going to be her last, but luckily for all of us she kept going! I really enjoyed how Wells wrapped up this book. The whole series is exceptional, a high powered action packed adventure that covers for a deep look of what is it to be human. Murderbot is an amazing character who I love spending time with.
This installment is quite vulnerable and emotional compared with the earlier books. It has Murderbot connecting (reluctantly) more with its human side, which is interesting.
