This was Penny Reid back on form. Nothing life-changing, but a giant warm hug of a romance novel - and we get plenty of the previous characters, especially Sienna. Cletus and his dude therapy sessions are something I could read all day.

I pull out my phone, texting Eden. Having a Pretty Woman moment.
Be more specific, she answers. Were you shunned from stores or are you in a bubble bath?

Very soft pick, as the late stage complications really didn't work for me. Almost the epitome of an "I'll read the sequel if the ebook goes on sale" book
From Amor Towles and up, some options for my May #bookspin and #doublespin --- a #BOTM backlist pick (#ds), and a thrifted book (#bs), in this case relating to my current reading mood of 80s/90s private eye/neo-noir novels, Ed McBain is close enough. I'm 97% through Manhunt: The 12-Day Search For Abraham Lincoln's Killer, so naturally a novel about John Wilkes Booth family history would fit as follow up, right? I just started Amor Towles' latest.
3.5/5 ⭐️ Cute story with so much tasty food. I wish there was more development with Ryan's father, but I think the grief storyline was well written.
Interesting. A story about the life of Loretta Young starting shortly before she meets Clark Gable. Not my genre, but a very interesting read/listen. You have to admire the woman and all that she accomplished.
After the release of this biography many have refuted Higham‘s claims as nothing more than guilt by association. Either way this is an interesting and even exciting biography that reads like an adventure novel. Part 3
He had a dark side, drugs and alcohol, womanizing, he was charged with statutory rape twice and acquitted both times. The term, “In like Flynn” actually originated from those trials. With all the negative aspects of his life a biographer, Charles Higham claimed to have found an even darker secret, that Errol Flynn was a Nazi Spy. This accusation was based totally on his friendship with a man named Hermann Erben, who was in fact a Nazi Spy. Part 2
