repost for @JacqMac:
This one is a bit longer and it has six parts. But part 6 is quite short, so I‘m combining it with part 5. If it‘s anything like Book 1, it shouldn‘t be a problem to read them both together anyway. lol As always, if it‘s too much and you think we need changes, let me know. If anyone else wants to join us, feel free, I will gladly add you to the tag list. #CosmereBuddyRead

I read this book 4 years ago and just read it for a second time for the #CosmereBuddyRead. If anyone knows me, you know that I don't remember anything about it if it was longer than a few months ago, 😆! I loved it just as much as the first. The descriptive world, using metals as powers and even though it's fantasy, it feels like this world could exist. It is easy to follow for those of us that aren't as much into fantasy as others.

Vin says she couldn‘t have loved Kelsier because « he was old, for one thing ».
Elend: I seem to recall you made fun of my age, as well.
Vin: That‘s different. You‘re only a few years older than me—Kelsier was ancient.
Elend: Vin, 38 is not ancient.
Vin: Close enough.
Ouch, guess I will be Ancient + 1 this year ?

Brandon Sanderson, fantasy's newest master tale-spinner and author of the acclaimed debut Elantris, dares to turn a genre on its head by asking a simple question: What if the prophesied hero failed to defeat the Dark Lord? The answer will be found in the Mistborn Trilogy, a saga of surprises that begins with the book in your hands. Fantasy will never be the same again.
Wow! That part was really good. I kind of expected something like that to happen, but I really didn‘t expect it so soon. Did you see it coming?

I have finally gotten started on the #CosmereBuddyRead but as I read all of Part One in one evening, I should be able to catch up 😅 What can I say, I enjoy a good heist plot and I find the magic system refreshingly different. And it reads a lot faster than Dostoyevsky or my current non-fiction read 😆
Sorry I‘m a bit late everyone. My MIL died in the early hours of this morning. It wasn‘t a surprise, but it made for a crazy day. Everything is somewhat settled now and I can talk books. This book has been a great escape for me this week. This part was soo good. And somewhat unexpected. I won‘t say much up front. I know some of you are still catching up, so no spoilers. We can discuss in the comments.

Exploring the Cosmere on this #WhereAreYouMonday
Laundry‘s done. Practiced multiple agility objects with dogs for some indoor exercise. Bread is baking. Black bean burgers are chilling before I bake them. And now I get to escape the second fascist initiation ceremony. Thank you Litten friends for posting positive vibes today and thank you Branden Sanderson and any other authors who help us forget the state of the world, even if just for a while.
