Thanks to @TheBookHippie and #ChildrensClassicRead2025 for reminding me that I had this sweet (tagged) book waiting on my shelves. And, as others have mentioned, the illustrations are gorgeous!

I always pick up these New York Review Children‘s Collection editions when I spot them in used bookshops.

I enjoyed this sweet little story of Mary and her mouse house but mostly I enjoyed the illustrations, they felt very nostalgic for my childhood reading days.

The biggest challenge for choosing the next non-fiction buddy read with my mom is finding something interesting to both of us, and is available through two different library systems and as both audio (me) and e-book (mom). The upside is that sometimes less selection brings hidden gems! This was one that we enjoyed, and our discussion really enhanced the topic and the reading experience for me. There is always so much to learn! Yay, books! ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I got these tiny reading animals to add to my book nooks. A new hobby and all. They are cute! I can see them being a hit with readers of all ages; just as long as they aren‘t young enough to pop them in their mouths or anything. They come in packs of 12 and 24
Individually wrapped. Great for classes and libraries.
