Recalling a real #literarydinnerparty several years ago with Pulitzer Prize winning #poet Henry Taylor. I was living in Iowa farm country at the time, and was so tickled by his shortest poem quoted above. He was absolutely captivating. I could have listened for hours. I've been lucky enough to also hear Wally Lamb & Brett Anthony Johnston. Sticking with the author/teacher theme, I'd love to add Zadie Smith & Toni Morrison to the guest list.
For my #literarydinnerparty, I would invite Behemoth from Master and the Margarita, Tom Kitten from the tale of Tom Kitten, Church (pre-death) from Pet Semarang, The Cheshire Cat & The Cat in the Hat. Purr. #24in48
For my #literaryDinnerParty I'd have it be an all lady affair, where we would talk about the secrets of their genius and art through the female experience. #24in48 @24in48 📚😍✌️📖👩🏽👩🏿👩🏻👵🏽👱🏻♀️
#literarydinnerparty Fiction characters or authors? And then I remembered AMS's gentle, generous heroine Mma Precious Ramotswe. For my literary dinner party I'm going to Botswana, where Mma Ramotswe will cook pumpkin stew for dinner, dessert will be Mma Potokwane's fruitcake with red bush tea, and maybe while Mma Makutsi expounds on life, I can bounce Itumelang Clovis Radiphuti on my knee (the only purring baby in Botswana). 🇧🇼
